Normally don't leave reviews but tonight I felt a strong need. I suppose it's a mixed bag of quality when it comes to Indian... food, some dishes may be cooked better than others, different styles of seasoning between restaurants, but overall had expectedmuch better from a restaurant in Yuba city of all places. Ordered: -Shahi Paneer: shredded paneer was interesting but not veryflavorful 2/5 -Lamb Biryani: immediately regretted this decision upon tasting, overcooked meat, surprisingly bland 1/5 -ButterChicken: overall the redeeming entree of the three but ultimately MIDS 3/5 Roti and Naan was decent but for over $50total? Save your money. I will not be coming back. Read more

Rude owner. No ethics. We reached at 2. 50 pm for dine in but were bluntly told that time is until 3 pm so can't serve. Never... expected such rude reply. We ordered to go. Channa masala, it was full of oil, tasteless. Paneer was tasteless. Better optionelsewhere Read more

I dont know in what world one would consider this a biryani. 1. It does not does anything like a biryani- its simply chicken... cooked in regular masala and tossed with lots of onion and capcicum when I had specifically asked not for it. 2. The chickenhas this off stinky smell dark red meat. Chicken is supposed to white inside when cooked this meat was probably stale old meatleft in the cooler for weeks. I dont mean to call food disgusting but this was it. So disappointed. Read more

I was in Yuba City running some errands and planned to have lunch afterwards. As my two previous experiences with Indian cuisine... were somewhat disappointing, I had decided to give it a pass, and go for something more familiar. However, the restaurant I hadoriginally chosen was closed, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I hadn't seen this restaurant in my previoussearches, and found it completely by accident. It was conveniently located right on the main road, so I said, "What the heck?I'm in Yuba City, and I don't come across Indian food often," so I decided to take the risk and pop in. We weren't too familiarwith Indian cuisine, so we were kind of just taking a shot in the dark. We ordered the Lamb Karahi and Chicken Curry Kebab, which both came with a side of rice, along with some garlic flatbread. Our biggest concern was that we'd end up going home stillfeeling hungry, but the portions were large enough to go home with leftovers. We ordered both dishes "mild". The spice level onthe Chicken Curry was just right, but the Lamb Karahi was hotter than I expected. It was yummy, but a bit too hot to finish inone sitting. Thankfully, the woman who took our order, which I'm assuming is the owner, was really friendly and asked us if wewant takeout boxes, and even gave us a bag to put them in. She also brought us all our change, even though we wanted to leave itas a tip. In total, we paid just over $37.00 for everything, which I felt was reasonable by today's standards. The price ofeach meat type is the same, no matter how you get it done, which I thought it was really nice. Some of the dishes are served intraditional Indian bowls, but the owner had no qualms about bringing us extra plates. The ambience of the place also wasn't bad, though it looked like it was a lot nicer, before COVID. When you enter, go into the bar area to be seated, as the buffet areacurrently isn't operating. I easily give this place a 5. There is very little to complain Read more

I dont come here often maybe once every month or so. I have been here for their buffet before the pandemic and it was reasonably... priced and the food was good, only it was a very small selection of dishes. Anyway, I sometimes get the Chicken Tikka Masalaand the chicken is so, so tender. But this time the chicken was so tough it hurt my teeth to eat it. I don't know why it waslike this maybe cooking too long? Like I said this was the only time it was bad and I hope the last time. I'll still continue tocome here but another bad experience and I'll have to look for another East Indian restaurant. Read more

We were craving for Indian food and happened to stumble onto this place. The main banquet hall where they usually have the... buffet was closed off due to COVID-19, so we dined in the bar area. We ordered tandoori shrimp on a skillet and lamb. Theshrimps were not grilled as described by our waitress, and they were tiny and in small portion. The lamb, on the hand, wasreally good, even though it was a bit tough to chew on instead of being tender. Our orders did not come with plain naan (Indianbread), so we had to order some. Overall, it was an okay experience. Read more
