We were so excited to eat at HS. We ordered a good variety of 5 dishes. When ordering the loaded potato asked the owner aka... cashier if it was less expensive to have a potato without the meat, as I'm not a big meat eater, but my friends are. She saidno discount. I took all the meat off as it was fatty on top of being tough. The pulled pork was good. All the other meatdishes were tough and tossed. The bbq sauces have great flavors and a good variety to choose from. An expensive evening formeat that is touted as being grilled 16-20 hours. It's not. It would be falling off the bones. One guest had ribs. Thesaving dish was the delicious peach cobbler! The place is absolutely adorable but the food is a huge disappointment. Read more
Bbq ribs were very tasty, we also had the brisket and tri-tip. All were very good. I don't care for the coleslaw as it needs... more sauce and cut smaller. Worth giving a try nice atmosphere and daily specials. Read more
Hmmm...if you are reading this review before you go pulse and read alot of reviews. The 1 and 2 star reviews are pretty... accurate. I don't think I have but a couple reviews that are negative that ive written. The review that said the cornbread wasthe best thing was honest. The Mac and cheese was not made with real cheese. Tasted like nacho cheese from a can. The brisketwas flavorless,tough and mostly fat. The avocado was an odd touch and the cojita cheese barely noticeable. The potato salad wasG'd awful. Dry with potatoes to big to be eaten in a bite. Seriously if you go don't get it that can't be saved. I added sharpcheddar and seasonings and saved the Mac but only the trash could save the potato salad. My son had a pulled pork sandwich andthat was fairly good. Every dog has its day, so maybe this wasn't there day. Read more
Absolutely amazing BBQ! Decided to check this place out while exploring town and will definitely be coming back. Shared a "Last... Supper" meal with a friend and it is definitely worth it. Able to make 4 meals out of it, easily. The BBQ sauce and flavor foreverything was fantastic. Read more
Amazing food and atmosphere here kind of modernistic retro vibe. The meats are all slow smoked to juicy tender perfection.... Impressively, they opened in 2019 here in Yuma and the following year, 2020, took second place in the Fishers Landing AnnualRib Cook Off! And let me tell you, I think they should have won first place! My mother and I had the Pick your Poison meal. Wehad the 20 hour hickory smoked brisket with the loaded potato salad and poppy seed coleslaw. Super fantastic! Wonderful Southernstyle BBQ and food brings back great memories! Very disappointed. We were really looking forward to this ?Last Supper? meal but it was honestly not very good. The brisket was... very dry, as seen in the picture, the baked beans were over spiced, the chicken had zero flavor, the ribs were dry, the pulledpork was decent but had too much sauce. The highlight of the meal was the cornbread, but even the Mac wasn?t that great and mykids wouldn?t even eat it. Read more
