My first time eating here and my food was wrong and horrible for $17 it was supposed to be the crawfish étouffée with the... Blackened catfish but the Crawfish étouffée had no crawfish in it and it was soupy not a creamy velvet texture and no crawfishagain I advise people to never buy that from this place that is horrible a waste of my money and my appetite I will never gothere for a plate of food again. I don?t have that kinda of money to be waste on trash someone try feed you. And talk to mangerand she said it was right size how she knew she didn?t fix the plate. A waste of my money and time. The meal that I had ordered was nice however the experience was less than what I would expect. Against my better judgment I... ordered the stuffed catfish and it was nice. Let me explain..... As I walk into the restaurant I noticed an apology from themanagement for poor service in the past and a promise of better service. (Red flag?) It was apparent that the wait staff hadrecently been turned over. For example, the waitress did not know what a draft beer was. I gave up and ordered a coke. Also inthe lobby there was an advertisement for red snapper written on a chalkboard. When I asked my waitress for the red snapper sheinformed me that the dish was not available and it had just not been erased. She explained that the specials advertised in thelobby were poorly maintained. The young lady that served me was a sweetheart and I was sure to show her my appreciation howeverit was getting late had I had better options I'm sure I would have preferred having dinner someplace else. The meal was marvelous! The staff was superior. There was no wait time for anything from the time we walked in the door, our... drinks arrived quickly. Our salads came quickly and were so fresh and tasty. Our meals arrived shortly after we finished oursalads. My husband had the stuffed fish and I had the medium rare ribeye. First time I?ve ever had my steak done just ?right?!!The food was delicious! I don?t know where these folks who left the bad reviews are, but this place was awesome!!! Read more
Very good food, friendly & helpful staff. A lady at our hotel recommended this restaurant - glad we came! We had seafood... salad, fried catfish, corn & shrimp chowder, smothered chicken breast, and the seafood au gratin. Read more
Great food, so so wait staff. Cudo to the kitchen staff and cooks. The food was awesome. Our young waitress must have been on... her first day. She wasn't too concerned about our dining experience. My corporate boss ordered a side of gravy and we askedfor drinks to go before we left. The gravy was brought to the table after we were finished with our meals . The go cups werejust that. I?ve lived in Louisiana majority of my life but never been to Lagniappe. We went to this restaurant for a private birthday party... and were giving a great seating location. I?ve had some great seafood over the years, but I can?t stop raving about Lagniappes!I?ve never been in a restaurant where every single appetizer, entree or dessert was made to perfection. I had the FIRECRACKEROYSTERS were amazing! I almost asked for more! The alligator balls were fresh and so tender! The CRAB fingers are a must have.My entree was the catfish stuffed with crawfish, shrimp and crab and a special sauce. 10 out of 10 must try again. The friedcheesecake was perfect.
