The reason I rated a four is because, the point's that you earned isn't accurate. And they stop selling ????. Today food was... okay Fish was a little soft not enough seasoning and greens tasted like Glory greens. Looks like all new staff since the lastvisit. All staff was very pleasant, dinning area very clean, also great music. Although I wasn't very happy today I will goback because they are the best in the city that I've tasted thus far. Read more

Arrived 20 minutes before closing. Hushpuppies dry,hard. Greens and beans/rice too spicy for me. Perch was dry, chocolate cake... was disappointing. Cornbread very good. Not worth $60. Won't be back. Read more

I called in to place my order and was pleasantly surprised to hear the accent of the darling man that answered. I don't know his... name, where he's from or how long he has been back at Caplinger's but, as soon as I heard his voice, I knew two things. One,that our order would be correct and two that the food would be great. I don't know his position there but, when he's there, thefood and service are always awesome! As expected, our order was correct, it was ready when promised and the food was delicious!The perch, basa, alligator bites and all the sides were cooked perfectly. Thank you so much for making my boyfriend's birthdaydinner experience a good one. Side note for those ordering take out, we have always placed our order before 5 PM. Especially onFriday and Saturday when they are the busiest. We've always gotten our food when promised without a long wait. Also, rememberit's FRESH food, cooked to order. The food is good, but oddly enough the picture for the store is wrong.... I am seeing the back of the building where we do not... eat at! :) So as with all stores that sell fish, you can have it prepared multiple ways, I prefer baked. The clam chowder isgood, but just not enough. :) Read more
