DO NOT TIP!!!!! BIG SCAM DO NOT TIP. When you get the check, you will realize that the money u payed is more than u payed for... the food. this is because they include a 16% tip included in that fee!!!! Absolute scam! They did not tell me about this! Icould file a lawsuit against these guys for trickery! Other than that, the papadi chat was alright, but the tandoori chicken wastasteless and dry! The Gol guppa was also so bitter! Do not go here! Read more

Food was amazing, but the owner is what made everything so perfect. I accidentally placed an order for food that my husband... wouldn’t have been able to pick up until 45 minutes after they closed. He called to let them know what happened and explainedthat we wouldn’t ask for a refund since it was my fault (about $100) and they were welcome to keep the food. Owner told himthat he empathized and told him to come pick up the food after work. He even commended my husband for working long hours tosupport our family. A wonderful experience overall. Good food. Good people. We will be back. Read more

To stretch a little bit and create a parallel, new deli cuisine is to Indian cuisine, what Parisian cuisine is to French... cuisine. With more influences and cultures concentrated at the same table as opposed to more traditional fare. Nonetheless,Krishna, the owner here and Amin the chef, take what they do very seriously, and this neighborhood is blessed for it. I've beeneating Indian food my entire life and this is among one of the greatest dining experiences I have ever had eating Indian food ofany kind at a restaurant. I always start with something that is a staple of a restaurant. So I ordered the butter chicken andthe korma curry with vegetables, some garlic naan and a mango lassie. Right away. When the items arrived at my table, I couldsmell the herbs, and spices, and upon first taste, I was very happy. There was no extra sugar, salt, or anything except real, natural flavor cooked by a Master Chef in each one of these dishes. The butter chicken was absolutely spectacular, and thekorma curry deeper, and richer than any I have had before. The garlic naan was absolutely perfect, and the mango lasse, and notfrom a mix. Talking with Krishna who is a delightful host, she explained some of the principles of New Delhi cuisine to me, andhow she had pride in her restaurant and her food, and it shows. This is a wonderful place, and it costs a little bit more, butit is worth every penny. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and the atmosphere service and the people there in generalare just divine. Read more

This is the worst experience of Indian food I have had. I am a native Indian who believes in supporting small businesses. The... Goat Biriyani that was delivered was the absolute worst - a partial* mixture of turmeric, cumin, rice and goat. I didn’t wantto write a review and instead took the high road of calling the restaurant. I told him I am not well and ordered this for mykids. He said come get a refund. I explained this Is not about a refund not about a review which is why I am calling him to lethim know that it was something he needed to know because there were chunks of white rice. The owner was super rude and arrogantasking about my cooking skills and I knew to cook a Biriyani. He was so defensive. I would not order nor ever recommend thisplace to anyone. See the pic of one chunk of rice and there several like this. Hence the *partial mixture description. Read more

Wanted to like this place because of the reviews but they are misleading. I ordered the masala dosa, saag paneer, rice, naan,... samosa, and spinach cheese samosa. The samosas were good but everything else tasted like water. Everything had no flavor - weasked for medium spice and tasted no spice - there didn't even seem to have salt added! The green chutney was super watery andhad no flavor, just tasted like water. The tamarind chutney was better (the only flavorful chutney). There was a turmericchutney and it literally tasted like turmeric powder and water, again no spice or flavor. The sambar, again tasted watery, likewatered down vegetable soup. No salt no flavor. The masala dosa was thick and not crispy, more like a pancake than crepe - againthe filling, which was masala and potatoes tasted of nothing - no spice, no salt and very dry! The saag paneer was the worst. The cheese cubes tasted like nothing and the saag was disgusting. Literally tasteless blended up spinach. It was like eatingbaby food. There was no spice, not flavor, no salt. Just as if someone put frozen spinach into a blender and added some paneercubes and called it saag paneer. In all we paid over $80 for bland food, tasteless. Save your money and go to Cafe Raj or Aanganfor some REAL flavorful Indian/South Asian food and go to UDUPI Palace for dosas, saag paneer, and authentic and tasty SouthIndian food!! Read more

I came with a friend who wanted vegan Indian food and after looking at reviews we came to Delhi Diner. We got the Navratan... Korma, and saag with tofu and while portions were big, we were that impressed with the food. We've had better. The korma lackedsalt and flavor (not nutty at all) and the tofu in the saag tasted like it was previously frozen and not fresh. The naan was justok. The best thing we tasted was the mint chutney. Service was a little weird. I ordered the chai tea which came tasting likewarm milk with no chai or tea flavor and the waitress wouldn't take it off my table. She argued with me and kept going back andforth to the owner to discuss and all I wanted to do was order a different drink. I'm not sure where all the good reviews oftheir food come from, perhaps you need to order a meat dish here. Read more
