This is the BEST sandwich shop in Ames. Prices are great, portions amazing. That cowboy tofu is to DIE for, and I don't even... really like tofu. Employees are always nice too. I would go here before going to any other sandwich joint in Ames, nohesitation. Give it a try, you won't be let down. If you are let down, then you just have bad taste, nothing will satisfy you.Id give this place 6 stars if I could. Read more

Not a fan, I usually love small college town places, but this felt more like chain than a mom and pop. They use regular bread,... not the usual mini-loaves that most sandwich places use. This makes if feel like you could make the sandwich yourself at home. Very average food, workers were nice, but just kind of fake, not like a real hometown small business, you would expect in acollege town. Read more

Used to go here for quick lunch when I?m in between classes. Layout of the store is a bit odd, otherwise food is good!

A year ago my partner and I got food here and our order was so wrong and the sandwiches so dry we got a gift card apology from... the deli. We weren?t in a rush to go back, but we saw the muffuletta sandwiches on the menu so we finally tried to give themanother go. Again, it was so incredibly dry. The portions are good sized but the ratio of bread and meat to sauce is so off. Thesandwiches are so thick that they are a challenge to eat and I can?t get past the dryness. We regretted going back and the foodwas ?free? with the gift card. Read more

I regret not coming here more often. With many house-made meats and rotating sandwich specials, their menu is packed with... flavors that leave me satisfied and with a smile on my face -- Every. Single. Time. Great value and a very clean yet casualeating area make it an all around great experience. Read more

Great place to grab a bowl a soup & a sandwich. Just off the west side of ISU campus in Ames. Local hidden gem, French Dip on... sourdough! You also have to try the deserts. Read more
