I always enjoyed my visits to Perkins' old Castleton location. While visiting Anderson I was excited to find a Perkins...bad... choice. The place was short on help and the hostess was our server, and she and another employee were cashiers. Orderedscrambled eggs, corned beef hash, grits and Rye toast. My husband and I went here for breakfast. I got a Country Skillet. It was wonderful. I had to bring some of it home because... it's very filling. My husband got a sampler platter with pancakes. We both enjoyed. We used a 20% off coupon we had gotten inthe mail. Read more

We had a ladies day out shopping and stopped here. We had very nice meals. Delicious, hot, and filling meals. Our waitress was... very polite, very good at her job, and the resturante was quite clean. I was impressed. I will definitely go back. Read more

I ordered delivery. I gave it 2 stars because I did eat some of this slop. 20 bucks for whatever this is. The beef sauce over... takes any other flavors in the dish. Very little steak was found in the meal. Mostly little square potatoes and beef broth.Would not order this again. Read more

The food and service was HORRIBLE!! I ordered the special of liver and onions and my husband had open faced turkey sandwich with... mashed potatoes covered in gravy. My sides were baked potato and "sautéed spinach. That spinach looked horrible and she saidit's steamed spinach. I reminded her that the menu item is sautéed spinach and I couldn't eat that. She got an attitude andrudely said what else you want. I asked for a menu and said I'll let her know because I planned on taking it home. By this time,I was halfway done. I heard the lady behind me order mac and cheese which wasn't on the menu. I asked for that as thesubstitute. She brought back a bowl of what looked like boxed kraft mac and cheese. ???? I asked to speak to the manager. Shecame over and said there's nothing she could do since we both ordered the "specials". Fine I said. She also confirmed that itwas frozen Kraft mac and cheese!!!! I don't expect to get this from a restaurant!!! She was very rude herself!! She said that'show their spinach is and also called it steamed spinach. I questioned why it's marketed as sautéed spinach then... she had noanswer for that. To be honest, my husband's mashed potatoes looked like instant potatoes. We happened to have been at thecasino in Anderson and decided to stop there before heading back to Indy. I'm usually a big tipper but did not leave any tipafter that.
