Co-worker recommended this place for me as an out-of-towner. Walking in, one wouldn't expect this place to have good food. The... menus signs are old school, the lobby and seating is out dated. I got a to go order of every type of meat taco on flourtortillas. To my surprise the tacos were massive! Definitely couldn't finish all of them, but they were good. The service wassuper fast and polite. Probably under 3 mins from order to completion. It comes with their home made hot sauce which was alsopretty good. I'm definitely coming here again. Read more
Definitely let down, I was hoping these would be good. Tortilla shell was soggy and hamburger tasted like someone went crazy... with chili powder. Tortilla chips were soggy and enchilada was bland. I didn?t even finish the meal, the only thing fresh aboutthis meal was the Pepsi I got with it. Read more
Everything is great, but the flour tacos are special. Original, chicken or steak flour taco....Can't go wrong with any buy try... an original once. Keep up the great work, Tasty Tacos! My favorite place to stop when I am in the Des Moines area! Read more

Tasty Tacos is a local chain that is always consistent, no matter which location you visit. My wife and I always order flour... tortilla beef tacos and jalapeño poppers. Biggest mistake we make is order one taco too many. I ordered 3 and wife ordered two. So good, but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Service is fast. This is our regular stop for fast Mexican food. Read more

A nice location. Easy to find. I would love a drive thru here. I got the original puffy flour taco they are famous for. It was... quite good. Ground beef, lettuce, shredded cheese on a puffy flour tortilla. The salsa was more sweet than spicy. It added goodflavor to the taco. I loved it. I grew up in a Spanish house, so I hate going to Mexican restaurants. Mainly because in my opinion up north... everything is made from a box or can. I go because of my wife. Tasty Tacos changed my mind. When ever we go through Iowa wewill be stopping in there for food. Now please open a location near Minneapolis MN so I don't have to drive to Iowa. Read more
