My hubby and I can be food snobs. I brought my mom here as we have a standing dinner date weekly and we like to try somewhere... new when we can. I saw good reviews, some decided to check it out. I surprised to see it connected to a hotel which made memore skeptical. However, service, menu and price were great. I can understand why we weren't the only locals there. Read more
Order a mushroom burger; very tasty and cheesy (be sure to ask for extra napkins). A good burger is a messy burger. My only... criticism is that it could have used a little heat; otherwise, delicious and worth it. Patty cooked to a perfect medium. Frenchfries are a necessary upgrade. Relaxing atmosphere. Read more
Ordered 2 corned beef sandwiches $40 later they gave me this?? I asked Stacy for a refund or at least what the picture showed... and she responded with too bad I can?t help you. Food taste like trash definitely not worth the price and definitely would notrecommend anyone to eat here. Read more
Happened to be in Apple Valley and found this hidden gem that is not very noticeable while driving. It's located within Grand... Stay Hotel and Conferences. It was late - around 1:40pm or so - and we were on a father-daughter lunch date. The lunch hourrush was behind us and there were just a handful of diners. I assumed most of the staff would have left and they would beclosing down after lunch. But no, they were open with supposedly a skeleton crew and the bartender, Jim (Schire) attended to usright away. They have seating at the bar or tables or booths. It was a very homely feeling inside and we settled down in abooth. They have a full bar and the choices of beer on tap made it a hard decision for what to have. Jim was happy to give us ataste. (I'll definitely be back for the nitro!). Did I mention, they have 22 or 23 different varieties on tap. We ordered someJalapeño chips and were pleasantly surprised when the order came. Assumed it would be potato chips with Jalapeño rub but theywere actually jalapeños lightly battered. They had a mild heat, very tender yet crunchy. We came to know that Al (Brady), thechef/owner soaks them in his secret marinade the day before. Talk about labor of love, this is a must have again on our nexttrip! The choice of burgers and sandwiches were also good. While my daughter ordered the Craft house burger, I went for theRueben. It was loaded with corned beef which was so soft & tender that it literally disintegrated in the mouth. It is evidentthat both Al and Jim take pride in the restaurant while looking after guests. Comfortable seating in the bar with reasonable price. It took a while for us to get the drinks due to lack of staffs. Limited... cocktails drinks options. Fried fish was tender. Coworkers like the salmon salad and wings. We had a great time playing Vingo.Our waitress was friendly. Read more
I was so excited to try their food tonight from their descriptions, but I?m sorry to say it was primarily lies. The cod had... breading and not a beer batter coating, along with cheese curds which were also breaded and could be bought frozen and heated.The crab cake was not even average. I ordered a bowl of beer cheese soup, but I definitely got only a cup (if I was lucky) ofcorn soup which was full of blended corn and tasted of corn and not at all of beer cheese soup! I couldn?t eat it due to thecorn. Mashed potatoes looked and tasted as if mixed with water and not milk or cream. Waffle fries were like everything else,could have been frozen and heated.
