I grew up near the original location of Buddy's Pizza, so this pizza is a staple of my childhood. I've visited multiple... locations, but the pizza at this location was unrecognizable for a Buddy's pizza pie. My review is related to the pizza only,not the staff. The staff was great, but the pizza was more like a dry flatbread then the traditional quality I've come to expectof Buddy's. The ends are the best part, but here they're soft and flat not like a deep pan pizza. After looking at some of thephotos on the other reviews, it seems this location just doesn't have the proper technique for making Buddy's pizza. All oftheir pizzas look thin to me, but if this is the only experience you've had...you wouldn't know. Maybe a training at theoriginal location might help them see where they're going wrong. I would not return to this location as I can get a better piefor the same money at one of the other locations. Read more
I tried the Detroit style pizza for the first time and I am happy that I started with the Buddy’s Pizza. Undoubtedly enjoyed... the Greektown pizza. It was so delicious and mouth watering, definitely would suggest to try out. Read more
Hands down the best pizza ever. Who cares about Chicago style deep dish or new York style pizza when you can have Detroit pizza?... Crunchy crust and good quality toppings. The caramelized onions are sweet, the jalapenos are hot and the roasted garlic is thebomb. Read more
This was my first time and I was craving pizza and I’m happy my BF took me here! The pizza was amazing and the ranch was even... better!!! I love ranch so this was a plus. Our waitress Emma made everything so much better as well. She was very knowledgeableabout the menu, very fast with her service, and told us about ways to save on our bill. I love Buddy's pizza. This is my favorite place to go to eat pizza. The staff is friendly and hard working. The antipasto salad... is terrific. It is right near the University. Get there early especially on weekends because it can get very busy. The art onthe wall is great, it is great artwork of Detroit. I always take the leftover pizza because it's just so good. Read more
So, this was my first time eating at Buddy's and I was super satisfied with this establishment. The staff was excellent and... extremely patient with our super large group. Our server I believe was Richard a youngman that I hope to see on a Monday nightNFL game. Thank you to all the staff especially the cook and server! Enjoyed a meal today at Buddy's. Pleasant staff and good food. I do have to comment about the honesty of the staff. I... misplaced my phone and I called there and they had it at the check on desk. When I got there I showed them it was my phone andoffered to give a reward to whoever found the phone. Manager and staff refused to accept money and said they have a great groupof employees.
