The ice cream flavors are unique and even some of the standard ones didn't make the cut. Everything's made in house, including... the dairy-free options, which are more similar to sorbet, not trying to be something they're not. The waffle cones are deliciousand crisp, made fresh in house. The blood orange was unique and tart, the butter pecan was thick and had a maple undertone. AMAZING creamery that makes their own ice cream flavors. They carry dairy free as well. I wanted to try 2 flavors and they were... willing to do 1/2 scoop so I could have them both in a super yummy waffle cone. Be sure to check the flavors daily as theychange often. Charlie?s has a cool old school ice cream shoppe feel with rich ice cream flavors. I had the chocolate thunder flavor and it... might have been my favorite ice cream flavor of all time. Filled with brownie bits and pecans to really set the chocolate off.My family had strawberry cream and banana that also boasted rich flavors. It?s a neat old building situated in downtown Aurorajust near the river. It has a nice spacious patio to sit and enjoy the ice cream on. I highly recommend Charlie?s Silver SpoonCreamery for an upscale and retro ice cream experience without having to pay crazy prices at a chain. Read more
My daughter and I stopped in to try the icecream. We both got the pink grapefruit which was a wow! I also got the orange... dreamsicle and my daughter also got strawberry. We enjoyed all of them. The staff was very nice and offered us a sample ofwhatever we wanted to try. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Charlie the dog is adorable and very friendly. We willbe going again!
