We decided we would take a trip back to the Rocking Chair. It has been years since we have been there. And....it was ok. Food is... average. Not nearly as good as it should be for the price. Crab balls were over done. Taste of the crab meat was good. Friedgrouper tacos were fried correctly and salsa was fresh. GF crust Old Bay crab pizza was tasty. Service at our table was not veryfriendly...she was quick though. When we sat at the bar afterwards...that was fabulous. Bar tender was friendly and mixed anawesome dirty martini. The menu on line is not what you see when you arrive. Lots of items were missing...some things that I waslooking to try..were not on the printed menu. But overall...I would go back to the bar for drinks and light fare. Read more
The food and drinks were really good. There were 20 of us and that included 4 young children. The wait staff was excellent,... they made sure the kids meals came out quickly. The live music was awesome, it kept the kids entertained while the rest of usate. Read more
My wife and I went for appetizers and drinks but wound up getting the early bird specials and it was definitely the right... decision. The service and food was amazing. I will be a regular customer going forward. Read more
I have to say this is one cool spot! The food is delicious and the adult milkshakes are fantastic! Has a little night life in it... as it gets later in the evening which makes it fun for Avalon with music, trivia pretty outside seating and a friendly staff. Read more
Four couples for last minute dinner reservation -- thank you for taking us. Service was great. Everyone seemed to enjoy their... entrees. They made up a meal for me that I could eat - thank you. I give 4.9 stars: I don't mind, and expect, the gratuity tobe added automatically for 8 or more guests, BUT I find it obnoxious to put a 20% tip onto the NJ sales tax. Read more
