Second visit and once again a fabulous meal. We ordered a couple appetizers and the provolone wheel was great paired with the... house marinara sauce, the zucchini planks were bread and fried perfectly. I had the chicken with red and banana peppers andpasta which were cooked perfect and the flavor combo was great. Both my husband and sister-in-law both enjoyed their veal andeggplant. My first time there, I will be back. Lovely little family owned restaurant , just what you want from an Italian restaurant . The... staff was wonderful, they went way above the call of duty. I was a part of a party of 14 people. We had a private room. The family was very accommodating and the waitress was wonderful.... The decorations were so appropriate to an Italian restaurant. The food was excellent. I had the Cod Romano and a side ofspinach. Oh the spinach was delicious. I had never tasted spinach cooked like this. It's a nice place, but plan ahead when you visit. They're BYOB, so grab a bottle of wine en route if you don't have one handy.... The service is friendly, but they're aren't in any kind of a rush. You'll be spending a good amount of time here; it's not anin-and-out kind of place. Pick a night when you don't have anywhere to be afterwards. Also, if you're hungry, grab a snackbefore coming. A fair amount of time can pass between being seated and eating. The food is tasty. I had the gnocchi and fell inlove with the sauce. My dad had a delicious appetizer called a pepper loaf and mom had the chicken picata, which alsooutstanding. I'm looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow. Read more

This restaurant, which was located in Avalon, was very quaint and relaxing. The vibe was family oriented, from the table... settings to pictures on the walls and the decore. Where we sat, as a group of seven, felt like going to someone?s home forSunday family dinner, even though it was a Tuesday. Everybody brought a bottle or two of wine and after appetizers, main coursesand desserts (I forgot to take a picture of the tiramisu), the bill was more than reasonable. There were ample portions of foodand everything was delicious. You get the sense that everyone knows everyone and it?s family owned and the family members areall around, involved in the day to day operations. It felt genuine and authentic there. I had to take my dog, Caleb, to the emergency department at PVSEC. He had to stay for hours and I was stressed and starving. I... found Mia Madre Trattoria online and headed on over. I am in love with this place! Over the top Christmas decorations whichmake it feel so homey. Delicious food! Most importantly, a friendly and caring staff. They were booked but found a little tablefor me which I so much appreciated. One of the owners, Shari, came over and talked to me a bit about my dog's situation. Sheeven gave me a bracelet blessed by the Pope! I was overcome. Everything about this restaurant was exactly what I needed at thetime.
