Very classy and traditional fine dining, hence the place exists since 1989. Food wise their signature chargrilled oysters were... too fatty for my tasting, also beware, there could be chipped shell inside. Lobster was delicious but broccoli were preparedwith an excessive amount of butter, I’d have rather have a steamed option. Espresso had no crema and Lousiana Lust dessert hadto much bisquit, I imagined more like a tart with pecan on a thin crust. Fine dining at its best. If you visit Baton Rouge for work or pleasure this restaurant needs to be on your to do list. I... recommend making reservations if possible. This establishment is conveniently located right off Interstate 10. The menu has anice variety. You can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Our appetizers hit the spot. The charbroiled oysters were my first ones as I got to Louisiana. I loved them so much that I ordered some from 4 other... restaurants in the following days, including the big famous names in New Orleans. Nothing came close. Just a whole otherlevel. The red fish in butter caper sauce on cedar plank was also great. I love these "been there forever" institutions. Ijust wish I'll have a reason to come back to Baton Rouge. Read more

Excellent food, great service. We stop in the way from Ft. Lauderdale to Texas for lunch. It has been one of the best places we... have had Oyster, Steak and Lobsters. Highly recommend it. Only wish it was close to home. Read more

Lord if they had more stars I'd be giving it. In town for business... Went to this awesome place for dinner last night and... when I tell you amazing. Amazing. Christian was out waiter and was just wonderful. He was just great. Not to mention the foodand drinks. Killer. If your in town stop by. You will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is fantastic not to mention. My BLTwedge salad was to die for. My friend had hamburger steak. Yummy. And oysters. I will definitely recommend Great food! Greatservice! Wow, such a disappointment with all the great reviews. Staff was friendly. Sat at the bar. Bar top was sticky. Bartender... made a great drink. Was handed a menu and a sample of the whole menu was included. Absolutely disgusting, pretty sure it hadnever been wiped. Made me wish we were back to COVID electronic menus. Handed a second menu, not as bad but still visiblechunky stains. Ordered the chargrilled oysters....5 stars. Ordered the fish special and it was just average, Very dry.Overall..waitstaff..5 stars, food..3 stars, cleanliness...1 star, manager (who I assume was guy in suite).... should probablystop chasing the staff and do some diligence. This place was great. I visited 3 weeks ago and the crab cakes were very delicious I just wish it was more crab cakes.
