Not a fan of the new crab Rangoon. The old ones were so much better!

Picked up take out from here b/c we had yet to pitch tents and get a fire going at Goodenow Forest Preserve. Kids were hungry... after a long drive, and I could feel a catastrophe potentially brewing. We called in an order, got multiple beef and chickendishes, and were all pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste (orange chicken, some other chicken with broccoli, andmongolian beef). The portion sizes and total price were shocking?absolutely huge* and a total steal compared to prices in thecity. This isn't going to win some James Beard awards nor is it better than your favorite place in China town, but for what itis (in the middle of nowhere, no less?sorry Beecher folk), it was fantastic. It's likely we'll go camping at Goodenow again, andwhen we do, picking up carry-out from here for the first night's dinner might just become a new silly tradition for us.*seriously, the 3 dishes weighed like 10+ lbs it was absolutely bananas. Today was my first time ordering here. I am very new to the area and was a bit nervous to try the chinese food (I can be very... picky sometimes). I was amazingly SUPRRISED and HAPPY with the taste of the food. I had a really good after taste once I wasfinished. I do feel like the portion of food is very small especially for the price they charge, but overall it was REALLYgood. I don't mind paying the price for good food! In search of a decent lunch in a restaurant desert, we stumbled on King's Wok. We tried the beef & broccoli, shrimp & veggies,... & General Tso's chicken lunch combos and veggie egg rolls. We all agreed that our entrees were delicious but were disappointedin the fried rice & egg rolls (they were more like spring rolls and were kind of mushy inside). 5 star rating for the food quality. The dine in seating area isn?t very cozy, but does the job. Menu has a great selection and... the prices are good. The Mongolian Beef is a must try! ???? Read more
