Food was very reasonably priced. For two meals plus two add ons and two specialty drinks we spent $55 for everything. Very... foodie type food. The service was fantastic! Very accommodating to all my parties needs and requests and was so helpful andpolite!the ambience is what made us come here. We sat at rooftop seating and they turned the heaters on for us. Literally notone bad seat on the roof top. 10/10 would recommend highly! Black mountain is also a beautiful small mountain town worthvisiting. Read more

I enjoyed our casual brunch for three here before hiking in the mountains. The food wasn?t particularly memorable, but it was... filling, warm, and did the job. I had a make-your-own-omelet with ham, goat cheese, tomato, and onion plus coffee and grits.Tasty food, good service, and great views from the outdoor patio with heat lamps. There was a wait for an indoor table but nowait for outdoors. Read more

We visited Black Mountain yesterday without a lunch plan. I was very glad when the Acoustic Corner recommended The Open Oven. I... tried the FireBird Melt and it was excellent. The scenery from the upstairs deck was just as fabulous since the tree colors arenear their peak this week. The coffee was tasty too. Thanks for a great time, tasty food, & helpful staff. Read more

We had a great time at Open Oven for breakfast. Staff were kind, best grits and gravy we?ve had. Drinks were great! A tad... pricey. Toast and jam not our favorite. Read more

This place is insanely good. It?s cute and eclectic. Super friendly staff as well! Highly recommend getting here before they... open. The line outside can get crazy. The rooftop is the spot to be! The chicken and waffles, man? damn. Read more

So their service model is non-traditional but works! They don't use servers. You place your order and pay, then they deliver to... your table. If you need anything you go to the counter. Seemed weird at first but this works very well in practice. The servicewas great and the food was amazing. We had the biscuits and gravy with mimosas. We had a really good time and enjoyed the wholeexperience. Definitely shop here if you're in the area! Read more

Food was decent! My crab cake Benedict was sub-par and disappointing. Food came out very quickly. Honestly, service good have... been better. I don?t understand counter service to order and making and refilling your own drinks and then asking for a tip fromstaff ? Also, the bathroom is in poor dis-repair. They need to do some work on it. Especially with the money they charge for thefood. Won?t be back. Read more

Our favorite breakfast place in Black Mountain (although you must also get a Grey Beard from Blue Ridge Biscuit Company while... you?re in town). They have the most unique and delightful Eggs Benedict combinations and you can?t go wrong with their specials. We also enjoyed the lavender and rosemary lemonade options. My husband is a fan of the chicken and waffles. Read more
