We ordered something but they only did part of the food and forgot about the rest. Although there were not so many new customers... but our waitress seemed very busy with other tables' new orders and kept us waiting. We have to talk to the front desk to getthe problem addressed. They say they have waffles but they haven't had them in months, apparently there is a shortage of waffles going on... we brought... this up to the girl working the front register that morning and she says, "People want a lot of things and can't get them..people want Amoxicillin and can't get it." Me and my friend both looked at her before walking away... didn't apologize ornothing... very weird and bazaar thing to say to a complete and random strangers. This is good home cooked meals just missing any BOLD flavor! I'm not considered a Sr. Citizen at most places but Shannon's made... me feel like a youngin in the crowd. This was lunchtime.. Great variety on the menu with Daily Lunch specials. I will definitelygo back sometime. Read more

First off I would like to know what the prices were 2 years ago? I read reviews that the prices went up In the past 2 years, I... hate to burst your bubble but it's called inflation and the cost of living increase. Since the pandemic started supplies havebecome harder to get and the cost has near doubled. A restaurant can't make money if they keep the prices in the 80's. I foundthe prices to be very competitive and the quality of the food very reasonable, when I walked in and saw 80 percent were elderlyI knew I was going to get a good meal at a good price. This was my first visit here and I would definitely come back. ( Truth betold I actually went back for Sunday buffet and it was great. All I can stuff in my face for $12.95) . Drinks are separate but Iwas ok with that. I had the Saturday dinner special 3pc fried chicken and mashed taters with gravy all white meat. The portionwas huge and I ended up taking food home. They must have got new servers within the last 3 months because all the the staff weregreat and polite and on it. Review Date: April 17th, 2017 Does Shannon?s get 5 stars from me? Close, but not quite. But why does it not get 5? Well, let?s... go into the stuff that was fantastic first. The place is big. Like, full-sized restaurant big with room to spare. Plenty ofparking available and it is easily accessible from one of the main roads in Bloomington. The staff was super nice despite thereonly being one other customer in the place. We had a completely empty restaurant to choose from, so naturally we sat near thewindows. That?s one of my favorites, at least. The menu does not match the size of the place? but that isn?t a bad thing. Whileit wasn?t a full menu, like one you would find at Denny?s, they still offer quite a bit. One thing to note is that they have cutoff times for Breakfast and when Dinner starts, so keep that in mind. I was all jazzed to get a full breakfast and the waitresshad to break my heart. The price is way cheaper than your typical Restaurant. If you can zoom in on the menu photo below, youcan make out what they serve and their prices. The Buffalo Sandwich I got was $5.95. With fries, it was $8.15, roughly. When ourwaitress served us, I was surprised with how massive this Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was. It was nearly 2/3 the size of the plate!Which was great since my stomach was grumbling. So why didn?t I give this place a perfect 5? Well, the food was pretty good!The service was top notch for it being slow. No, what knocked this place down was the bathroom. I will save the dirty details,but it needs some TLC. Walking in from a fine restaurant to a messy bathroom that is in need of some upkeep was quite jarring.Hopefully they have plans to fix the issues with it as it was my only complaint about Shannon?s.
