Amazing place with great customer service! I got the Reuben recommended by the owner (I believe his name was David), and it was... delicious! I ordered it alongside the tomato soup and the almond cake. Both were fresh and delicious as well. He mentioned thereis a sister location down the block where they sell full cakes. I was tempted to buy some but had to travel after. Additionally,the place is beautifully decorated and they have a lineup of natural plants both on the tables and on the side. It'd be a greatplace to enjoy lunch and read a book. Overall, I'd definitely return! 10/10 recommended. Read more

Delicious classic lemon cake!!! Ordered a small lemon cake with glaze and it was PERFECT. I used to bake professionally and I... beyond impressed. Perfect crust, perfectly moist and dense inside. The pound cake is amazing! The right amount of sweet, dense and moist. Everything pound cake should be. We tried individual... slices of lemon, 5 flavor, almond and chocolate. I stopped in for the first time yesterday thinking it was just cupcakes, but Iwas pleasantly surprised. This is going to be my new pound cake place in RVA! Stopped in near closing time for lunch on Saturday. Welcoming and friendly staff and owners. Just the right amount of food -... quiche and fruit. Wife had chicken salad sandwich and potato salad. We also had two pound cake flavors. A quick taste oftomato basil soup. Yummy. Pleasant indoor or outdoor seating and take out. Price is right.. We definitely will be back. Try itand see for yourself. This is a wonderful place for gluten free options. I have Celiac Disease. I was lucky to find Front Porch Cakes & Eatery. The... owner explained their gluten free options. She advised me that they are not a dedicated gluten free facility, but explained thecare she takes in preparing her gluten free options. In addition to their gluten free dessert options, there is also a glutenfree bread option. It is delicious. I got the turkey sandwich and added bacon. I didn't get it toasted and it didn't crumbleapart like most gluten free breads. I got the almond, lemon and chocolate pound cake slices. Each piece was moist and delicious.The experience here reminded me of my summers as a youth. My grandmother used to fix me sandwiches and goodies. I would takethem to the front porch and eat them.
