Not very far from my work place, we decided to go to a Mexican place and this was our choice. We went at peak hour, so it was... kind of packed but there was some place to fit us. When we entered in a guy came to ask for how many people like almost everyplace, then he took us to our table, not too much waiting, maybe a couple of minutes. The place is nice, tables are made fromwood and there are both benches and chairs. After we sat down, we got the menu very fast, and after taking a look at the drinkswe order some Modelo tap beers, they weren't very strong but I liked them. As appetizers we ordered some nachos with guacamoleand salsa, as having the combo was more expensive ( maybe the size was bigger ), but it was more than enough to try them. Bothsalsa and guacamole were good, dipping nachos inside them was perfect to wait for the main dish. we didn't know the differencebetween burrito and enchilada, so we asked the waiter for that and he kindly explained it to us. I ordered a beef enchilada,but my friend ordered a burrito. The size is pretty big, with rice, beans, cheese and lettuce as sidedish. Surprised by how much I enjoyed this place. Arrived around 5, not busy at all. Had a fun, energetic server who made the... experience very pleasant. Shared a side of guac and 2 fish tacos between 2 people and it was perfect if you had a late lunchand need some light dinner. Pineapple cocktail was nice and refreshing. Fish taco was surprisingly good. Added some hot saucefor added kick. One gripe: chips are very fried, very crunchy and had visual oil residue. Really affected how much I enjoyedthe salsa and guac. It?s a great place to grab drinks on a cold winter night after work and get great food. We ordered fish tacos and drinks. The... coconut margarita was too strong for me, but the house margarita my friend got was very delicious. The mojito was good as well.The corn was super delicious! I would go there again just for that! However, the service was very bad. We think that becausethere was only one server for the whole place on a Friday night. We had to keep asking for water, for the drinks, and waited along time to order. I could tell our waiter had to much and I didn?t hesitate to give her a nice tip. I still will go back tothe place cause it?s in a great location close to the T. Read more
My friends & I were happy with our pre-theatre experience here. The drinks are made with fresh squeezed juice & infused tequila... & were delicious! The guacamole, empanadas & street corn were equally good. The nachos were just ok; odd take on what we wouldnormally consider nachos. Overall good dinner & drink experience. I would go back! Meh experience. The trailer park tacos were ok. The calamari was just barely hot enough to not send back. The French fries were... hot and cooked well. The drinks were fine. The service was ok. The cramped corner table was no bueno especially when there wereother tables for 2 available. Fair price for food drinks were a tad overpriced. Read more
I haven't been back in a while, but I love the free chips and salsa. Plus they refill it. The serving sizes are huge and it's... pretty standard, since the food was exactly like the Papagayo in Somerville. I always order the same thing. Sometimes it doestake a while to get service. The bar area can get pretty loud sometimes too, so it all depends on when you go. The bathroom isactually a long walk and it has some creepy drawings outside. Read more
