I have 3 words for you? Wood. Fired. Oven. *drool* Mouthwatering flavors in every dish. I love sitting at the bar overlooking... the kitchen and watching the magic happen. This talented team serves up deliciousness dish after dish. The pizzas are absolutelyincredible, the meatballs and fresh bread in marinara is *chef?s kiss* and the drinks are delicious. Make sure Blackbird is onyour list when dining in Bozeman. Read more

This was my absolute favorite restaurant in Bozeman. Everything was so delicious. I snagged a seat at the bar right by where... Chef Kenan Anderson was expediting the orders (and training new staff). I was so rapt up in watching the whole kitchen ritual, Iforgot to snap a photo of the chef. The restaurant, btw, was totally booked/jammed by 5pm. I started my dinner with the goatliver pate (scrumptious!) and then, having watched all the pizzas rolling out of the oven, I ordered the Mostarda pizza(prosciutto, grana padano, mozzarella and arugula). SUBLIME!! I could only eat half. Took the rest back to the hotel for thelobby staff - they were thrilled! I also ordered the chocolate budino for dessert - it was good but not on par with the pate orthe pizza. Blackbird is also another "wine and beer only" place but in this instance, I forgot all about my perfect manhattanand just focused on that pizza. Read more

To me this is the best restaurant in Bozeman . The restaurant gets really busy, they keep seats for walk-in customers. They... don't put names on the wait-list over the telephone. They have happy hour everyday from 16:30-17:30 on the barside We didn'thave to wait to long to get a seat, even though the restaurant was quite busy. It was a beautiful summer evening so we decidedto eat at an outside. The employees were friendly and helpful. Really good food, especially the pizza that was baked in a woodfire oven. The antipasti are also delicious. Sorry for the picture with the half eaten pizza. Read more

We were here skiing in Big Sky and looking up the good restaurants in town, this place showed up as top rated. However, it has... been fully booked throughout the week after, so I called them and was suggested to try walk up, as they do leave seats for that.We arrived at 8:30pm to avoid the prime time, only to find it still fully packed. The host told me the wait gonna be 40min,apparently they do extend hours when there?re guests arriving late, very accommodating. We decided it?ll be too late and changedto order to go. The host was very nice, after shuffling things around and looking through last-min cancellation, he was able toseat us, we were very happy and appreciative. We ordered the duck liver pate, chicken leg confit, and a spacey pepperoni pizza. While waiting for the food, the aroma in the restaurant almost made me drooling- it?s a mix of roasted vegi and meat, togetherwith fresh baked wheat, and super refreshing herbs, it makes me forget we are in snowy Montana during a 30F winter night. Notfor long our tape came, the bread simply blowed my mind - puffy yet chewy, full of wheat flavor and with a perfect crust, theduck liver is moist yet not oily, it is mixed with refreshing herbs, by its side, there?s pickled red onion and mustard seed,it?s appetizer at perfection! Later it came the chicken and pizza- as expected, both are so delicious that we ate all the foodknowing that we gonna stay up late tonight because of overeating? The chicken leg is crispy on the outside and juicy and tenderinside. The pizza is something else, it is a bit burnt on the crust, yet that aroma it brings out from wheat reminds me whatgood food is meant to be. We?ll definitely be back again, can?t wait to try other dishes on the menu. Read more

Blackbird was pretty good. The lasagna was worth five stars on its own, but the pizza and the radiatore had some room for... improvement. Not bad, just fine. We were also a little surprised to see that the menu was mostly pizza, so make sure to checkthe menu for yourself. I don't mind that the other options are limited. A focused menu usually means that every dish has beenperfected, though we found some of them to be just shy of that mark. Read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Bozeman. I really enjoyed dining here as everything I had was delicious. They... pay very close attention to detail here and it?s not hard to notice that. The restaurant is very organized to get you seated andserved as quickly as possible, even when there are a lot of people there. We had the pizza and it definitely hit the spot forus. I think you need to try this place if you are thinking about it, you won?t be disappointed! Read more
