This ramen here is GREAT. They have fully gluten free options for just about everything, and they cook the noodles in separate... water so it's safe for celiacs. Had been eying this place for a while before finally going in. The interior is super cool; they have a graffiti mural that wraps... every wall, as well as screens on the ceiling that showcase the inside of an aquarium. It?s got that grungy hole in the wallplace vibe that I love! Our server was super nice and chill too. However, mixed reviews on the food. My friend and I gotdifferent starters - the edamame and japa fries respectively - and we both enjoyed them. I especially liked the japa fries, thesauce and seasoning were perfect. Our mains were a different story. I feel like I?m pretty easy to please with poke bowls sinceI?m obsessed with salmon and tuna, but even those couldn?t save the dish. It was very bitter and tasteless at the same timesomehow? I can?t quite explain it. I tried to finish but ended up giving up and just eating my pieces of tuna and salmon (whichby the way were tiny portions). My friend didn?t enjoy her ramen either; she said the broth was tasteless and the elements inher noodles were barely memorable. Ramen is mediocre. Got both of their recommendations Japa/JFC and Tonkotsu: small potions. 1/2 egg not even a full one. Broth... flavour decent. Tonkotsu pork was cut as thin as sandwich meat. There are way better ramen joints all over Calgary. Worstdynamite roll ever created. Should have put ?destructed? in the name. It was basically 4 cucumber rolls with a crispy shrimp ontop. I have had better at airports and grocery stores: what a joke. Quality doesn?t match prices. Will never go back for theseitems and huge disappointment from reviews. Stopped by on a whim to try the Japafries and was very pleasantly surprised. They were crisp and coated with some kind of... slightly spicy powder. Never had them before but can't wait to head back and give them and some other items a shot. My tip: thesake in the blue bottle was an amazing treat! Read more
