AMAZING experience! I can’t begin to describe how wonderful our experience was at Modern Steak. The food was incredible, but I... have to say the service topped everything. Our server Ryan was so incredibly informative and knowledgeable about each cut ofsteak, Ryan and the rest of the staff were also so kind. They set the table up beautifully for our anniversary dinner, food camequick and was plated with care. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quality meal with incredible service. I have to say I finally tasted beef! Our waiter well he was magnificent. His knowledge was outstanding. He was very quite,... cleaned the table as passing. We had everything. We tried the wagyu board! The Japanese is out of this planet! Australian wasokay like a bit better than anywhere else but wouldn’t pay that much for it, the unfortunate taste came with the Canadian beeffrom Ontario well if i remember right it was a ribeye but i ate better well i ate what tasted to me better, not the seasoningthe meat. Our first experience at Modern Steak was fabulous. Our server, Fiona, was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! We were there... for “date night!” She helped us pick the wine to pair with our steaks and sides. We started with the wagyu dumplings… thenI had the 12 oz striploin and my wife had the 6 oz grass fed filet. We added the mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Now,normally I despise brussel sprouts! But these were DELICIOUS! The overall atmosphere was chill, yet, the restaurant was busy.What a great spot for a fantastic locally sourced meal! We will definitely be back. Couldn’t had a better Birthday dinner with All Halal stakes and Virgin drinks. We were warmly welcomed by server at front.... Decent ambiance. We ordered Modern Benchmark and Wagyu with Garlic butter mushrooms, Truffle fries with parmesan garlic aoli andBrussel sprouts without Bacon as sides. Wow, the food was amazing! If something tastes better than you expected, you could usethe word wow to express your surprise. Warm chocolate cake was a cherry on top and complimentary as a birthday event. An experience of luxury at a reasonable price. Complimentary truffle popcorn starts the dining experience off on the right... note. The food is scrumptious of course. Their wagyu is expertly done. But it is the ambiance which brings the flavors to life.From the courteous servers to the dim lights and soft music. Everything fills the space but doesn't overwhelm and allows for amagical evening over delicious food. I wasn’t underwhelmed, nor overwhelmed, just ‘whelmed’. Came here to try the Wagyu and just really didn’t think it was... worth the price paid. Gotta give props to the server though, his knowledge was great, really personable and made uslaugh. Overall, fairly certain I will not be returning. Maybe their standard steaks are worth it? Read more
