Pavement is one of the better coffee locations in Harvard Square. There is upstairs seating as well as outside. If you're taking... a tour of Harvard University, Pavement is located right where all the tours begin. I also like the fact that they do Cafe aulait really well. It sounds simple, but I've never had a great Cafe au lait at the chain stores. The food and sandwiches arealso really fresh and well made. The staff has a great attitude and it makes all the difference. Read more

Terrible service for overpriced, mediocre coffee. It's at the base of the stairs of the building too, so you feel like you're in... people's way while you're waiting for your order. Read more

Delicious bagels and spreads. Great vegan options. But overpriced. And a lot of the people who work here are rude, cold, and... never smile. It seems that they aren?t trained in hospitality and professionalism. I wish that they were more friendly towardscustomers (especially the regulars like me). It would make our experience so much better. Read more

Tasty sandwiches but pricey and excruciatingly slow. Avoid this place if you need to be anywhere in the next 20 minutes. There's... a lot of people behind the counter but they just seem to kind of stand around and not do much. I thought that things would getbetter after they apparently unionized but if anything they've gotten slower. Read more

Ordered an everything bagel 10 min later they told me they were all out and made it on a sesame bagel. I asked for salt or... seasoning and they said sorry! Try another restaurant. Ruined my whole day paying 6 dollars for a Dunkin? Donuts style bagel(they only have bagels on their menu too so you would think they would try a little harder) the one they gave me isn?t even evenlol. Read more

As a coffee lover I really want to like Pavement, especially after paying a fairly high price for your standard cappuccino, but... it's just meh. Their roasts are light and kinda flat. The service is okay. What sounds like a fancy, flavored coffee drink willend up tasting like a watery latte. Read more

The most sour cappuccino I've had in a while. Not good at all. And I've ordered "presto, pesto" which is a bagel with dried... tomatoes pesto.. but it was spicy! Like I love spicy food, but not at breakfast! And it was all smeared around in the bagel..not good :( Read more

This is, I believe, the newest Pavement location. They've found themselves a home on Harvard's campus right inside the Smith... Center. They have their own entrance right off of Mass Ave. The quality is what I've come to expect and there is lots of seatingto hang around! Only docking a star because it lacks the charm of their other locations. Feels a little more fast-food coffeethan craft coffee. Read more
