Oh wow. Yum. I had my first Spicy Musubi here. It was tasty. I'll be back to try other things on the menu.
Got the order wrong and then proceeded to say she confirmed with me when I ONLY chicken & beef and any Hawaiian style... restaurant. Only reason why I stopped at this location was because it was closer than the Ono Hawaiian near my home. NEVERAGAIN! Service was decent, food was really good but price was a little high for the portions
Gave 2 stars because it made my wife and I talk about how good Hawaiian food is. This, however, was not what were hoping for.... Redeeming qualities were the teriyaki chicken and the macaroni. We tried this place for lunch and we were greeted right away, the person took our order. The food came out quickly. We both... othered the Loco Moco, which tasted fantastic. Very large portions enough to share. The Macaroni salad was very delicious. Youget two large hamburger patties and two fried eggs with Macaroni Salad. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. The Skinny: The food was plentiful and delicious, service was meh.... Details: We ended up ordering the family meal which was in... essence quite a bit of food. So go hungry if you plan on going! The food tasted fresh and was plentiful and well worth themoney. The food was fast-casual so it was ordering at the counter and the drinks were self serve which was a big plus for me andthe kids. Should you go: Definitely go. It was good The bad: The only "bad" thing was the person at the counter. You could tellshe was just "not feeling" the work thing that day. She was very curt and sighed quite a bit when I had questions for her whichdid not seem to be the best attitude to have if you are in customer service. They offer single meat, combination meat plates, and mini meals. I went with the kalua pork and chicken combination. It came... with a large scoop of white rice, macaroni salad, and a small wedge of cabbage. The chicken was thigh meat, marinated andgrilled, and was tender with good flavor. I loved the earthy grilled taste of it. The kalua pork was decent. It was a largeportion with smoky salty flavor. There was something about the texture that I didn't quite like 100% though, like it wasslightly stringy/dry tasting despite being soaked in broth. The rice and macaroni salad were good sides to go with all theflavorful meat. Read more
