My family lives for Japanese food! After a long day at Carowinds we were starved and hopped over to eat at Japan 49. The food... and portion size was amazing! The flavor...everything was so good! We were stuffed and had so much left over. We weren't sure ifthe food was really that good or we were just hungry, but when we had the leftovers it was just as good. 10/10. Read more

I ordered both the hibachi and teriyaki chicken dinner with egg rolls. The egg rolls were the highlight in my opinion they were... fresh and had a really good flavor. Was a nice experience and the staff were really friendly. We were greeted the moment we walked in and serviced the movement we... sat down. The food was amazing and served fairly quickly. The shrimp tampora and shrimp hibachi were both amazing. Serving sizesare on the larger side, so be careful when ordering :), definitely going there again and will recommend this place. Read more
Hibachi was fun they guy knew a bunch of tricks however food allergies that were told to him was completely ignored.food... quality is not the best they can do much better. Overcooked noodles soggy salad was gross the staff brought our bowls of saladwith her finger stuck into it so she can carry more... plates were stached for cooking and menues look like they have neverbeen cleaned pretty gross. My family and I came here Saturday night, the service SUCKED! The cook wasn’t friendly didn’t interact with us or the other... families at the table. I asked for mushrooms with my steak he told me it would come with my vegetables. Once he finished cookingI never got my mushrooms, I asked for them again he told me he couldn’t make separate orders.. I was confused but didn’twant to cause any issues. Once I received my check I was charged for the wrong items. The manager made me dig through my boxesto show him the food that I had. After telling me multiple times that I had already eaten the food that he charged me for. Theyare extremely racists and aren’t friendly people AT ALL! I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! Read more
