Absolutely loved this place!! I have never had raw oysters before and tried two fire lake oysters and fell in love. Food was... delicious and we had a good time sitting at the bar and talking with our server John and Kirby! Kirby opened up so many oystersin front of us during our meal. We saw everything from behind the scene and knew that everything is freshly prepared! Weordered about 10 raw oysters and the oyster Rockefeller. My daughter and I wound up in Charlottesville by happenstance and have just fell in love with this town. Public Fish and Oyster... has been an utter delight - so we had to go twice. If you have the chance, find a seat at the bar during happy hour. The servicewas fabulous, conversation with fellow guests wonderful. The cocktails, excellent bourbon, oysters, and lobster rolls wereenough to get the wheels turning for a reason to journey back from Colorado. Thanks to all!! Read more
