If I could leave zero stars, I would. My boyfriend, his two kids, and myself decided to go to Valiant Bar and grill for dinner.... We are in town for the Michigan vs Nebraska football game on November 12th. We arrived a little before 7pm. We were seatedimmediately and a server came over to take our drink orders. She brought our drinks a few minutes and took our food order.That's where the positive experience ended. Even though my party of four was seated first, a party of at least 8-10 people, whocame after us not only received their appetizers but also there entrees before we got our food. At one point, our server, who wehad not seen since she took our food order, appeared about 20-25 minutes later to tell us that our food would be out in a about5 minutes. 15 minutes later, we decided to not waste any more of our evening. I flagged down a server, who was not ours, andasked her to get our server. She still did not appear. We decided to leave. My boyfriend's daughter decided to leave $10 to atleast cover our drinks. She had a water, I had a Coke, the guys had a draft beer and a bottle beer. In my opinion they didn'teven deserve the $10 she left for the drinks. We don't believe our order was ever put in. We should have been offered someappetizers, a salad, or something. We went back to our hotel room and ordered a pizza from Jet's. I also took the time to callback to the restaurant and ask for the manager. Someone named Kelsey (sp) got on the phone. I explained our experience to herand she apologized. Or tried to. She had a couple of ideas on how to remedy this situation. She offered to re-cook our order,she claimed that our order that we never received had been cancelled when we decided to leave, and she offered to give us a giftgard. After the experience we had, we had no desire to give them another try. We are in town for the game and we were let downby terrible service. Here we go! 1. Place was empty, but has a lot of spacing. 2. Staff was kind and efficient. 3. Food was, just ok. Got the Chef... Salad, not filling at all. Buddy got the Georgia Rueben and he gave it 2.5 out of 5. Prices didn?t match portion/quality. *** UPDATE June 14, 2022 *** Almost about to remove a star. Good food so I will leave it at three. Last night my wife announced... she wanted to go to the Valiant because she had a craving for their Feta dish. I discouraged her but to no avail so I relentedand said that maybe this time they will redeem themselves. Didn't happen. I had no problem with the food this time. It wasFABULOUS, excellent, magnifico! :) They still have the same problem with the wait staff. Again, it was a young girl about maybe20 years old. We didn't see her again for a while.
