We had a Birthday Lunch at Capital Grill in Bethesda. We were greeted at the entrance, wished Happy Birthday and escorted to our... table. The table was decorated for my birthday. The food is excellent. Charles, our waiter spent time helping us. Birthdaydessert was presented with a candle. Have a wonderful experience. Highly of recommend Capital Grill. Read more

I’m very disappointed with my visit around lunchtime on Friday. I ordered two calamari appetizers and a cup of lobster bisque.... Unfortunately I didn’t realize the issues until I had brought the calamari to my colleagues for a meeting we were having. Thecalamari breading was soggy, it tasted different and flavorless, and I found out some of the pieces were undercooked. They werestill purple like they are when they’re raw. The lobster bisque tasted like milk. I’m not used to this poor quality fromCapital Grille. I expect way more from a quality restaurant. I was so embarrassed when it was pointed out that the calamari wasraw. I suggested the place and I treated them. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, not that that’s an excuse, so I don’tunderstand. What an incredible dining experience! Excellent service from our server Abdul and manager Scott who made us feel like... celebrities from the wine selection recommendations to the complimentary drinks and dessert. Amazing service, amazing food. I got the salmon they have and it was one of the best salmons I've ever been able to eat. Also... got a creme burlee, not the best one I've had but it was still super good. Can clearly see how much I hated the dish. Read more
While driving back from seeing our children and grand children in Virginia my wife and I decided to get out of traffic and make... a stop for lunch at Bloomingdale's in Chevy Chase. Unfortunately, they didn't have a restaurant there. However, just outsidethe door in the courtyard is The Capital Grille. What a place! My wife and I shared a plate of Calamari. Then my wife had theRibeye medium well while I had this cheeseburger with parmesan fries. Dang! This meal was really good. If you have a CapitalGrille in your area stop in a enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food. You won't regret it. Ask for Svitlana she is awesome. Read more
