A taste of Texas in SW Virginia!! These folks take their smoked meats as serious as they take supporting and serving First... Responders and Veteran?s; intentional and unashamed!! To suit the BBQ Bias that exists geographically in this country, MissionBBQ of Christiansburg has a six-pack of sauces to choose from. (Some would balk at the idea of any sauce at all!) Opinionsaside, this place is a real treat and a welcome addition to the community. This location in specific is wonderful. While I've only visited a few times, I've always enjoyed the food and the friendly... faces. Today, they went above and beyond to honor a much beloved veteran that has passed away, and to accommodate our groupafter the funeral. The memorial they created for him was absolutely beautiful, and they were so kind to all of us. Amber wasespecially wonderful! It created such a comforting environment during grief and memorial. WOW! Easily the loveliest and kindest staff I?ve worked with in the food industry in the NRV! I don?t think I could be made any... happier with the food, the cleanliness, the wait time, and the level of care for every guest in the dining room. Greatatmosphere with great music too. Brisket (moist) and pulled chicken were very good. Sides were fresh cut fries and kicking collards also very good. Service was... good. My wife had Brisket sandwich and said it was I know all prices are up... all I can say is $ 40 for 1/2 pound of meat,Brisket sandwich, 4 sides and 2 drinks is at the very top of the range I was willing to pay.
