Very disappointing. They seemed angry at us (and the other 3 parties) that were there upon opening. The server did not convey... our dietary needs to the chef. They do not offer any GF soy sauce, so only sushi for one of us. They were playing loud rock.Which definitely took away from the Japanese atmosphere we were hoping for. The food was good. Not great. The two stars wasfor the Chef because the stuff he did was fun. But as others have stated he didn't seem to enjoy it. It was not worth the$130. Will never go again. Food was good, but it was my 5 year olds birthday and his first time there. It seemed like it chef wasn't really enjoying his... job. Part of the "show" (the onion volcano) didn't work fully (a rubber chicken of sorts) and he didn't do any of the eggtricks. My wife and kids took me here for my birthday and I was impressed. Our cooks name was John and he cooked and entertained us with... great skill. We started with three sesame chickens on a stick. The chicken was cooked great with a nice sear but still nice andtender on the inside. The fried rice was nice and fresh and the sauteed vegetables were great. I had the New York steak withscallops. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare but could have had a little bit more of a sear to it but the scallopshad a wonderful sear and cooked beautifully. Our server Greg was one of the best I have had, he was on top of everything and didsuch a great job that we never had to ask for something. New drink when we needed it and cleared things off in almost a way thatyou didn't even notice that he cleared or when he got you a refill on your drink. Over all I am very impressed and had a veryenjoyable experience and some very wonderfully cooked food. Read more

This is my husband's absolute favorite restaurant. He always chooses to come here for his birthday. We love the food and... experience here. The chefs always cook the veggies and meat to perfection. So I must start off by saying that the food was exceptional. However the service was a bit strange we weren't sure if our... waitress was upset at us or what the issue was. And I included a photo of the dishes because I have never been to a restaurantwhere the waitress continually disregarded the used dished and let them pile up on our already small table. Mind you we piledthem up or else we would have no room for our new plates... we ordered more food to try the place out... I have decided afterwriting this that we will probably not return for another visit. If you are looking for a good choice here I'd go with he Bajaand the Snow roll.
