It pains me to say this after frequenting this restaurant for over 40 years. I have always ordered the same thing: black... mushrooms with snow peas and after getting very little sauce on it about 35 years ago, the waiter told me to just ask for lotsof sauce. This has been my order literally over 100 times. Yesterday my husband picked up lunch for us (a huge treat as moneyis very tight) and when I ordered I had a very difficult time conveying that I wanted extra sauce. I said ?more sauce, lots ofsauce, extra sauce, plenty of sauce??. I kept getting responses like ?brown sauce, yes?. Finally I thought I got my pointacross and the order was placed. My husband arrived home and there was almost no sauce on the order. I ate a couple of bitesand put the rest in the fridge. Out of respect for their busy lunch hour, I waited until later to call back. Presumably it wasthe manager or owner who got on the phone and argued with me for almost five minutes that the sauce was adequate, they can?t putextra on, etc., etc. Finally I said, can we just conclude this by my husband going to get some sauce tomorrow, I will reheat itthen and eat it? Four us us dine in once a month when we get together. The food is always so good. The Won Ton Soup is a must as the flavor is... so good. The service has always been very good. The portions are very adequate. We are dining there today and I have noconcern it will be anything but tasty as it always has been. Read more
First of ..$35 for water and two plates ..secondly .... they are not selling normal meat here. .... the beef was mirrored and... iridescent in color .tasteless and chewey. My husband's sesame chicken was disgusting and so over breaded it was raw inside. Badfood and terrible prices. I wanted to complain but she barely spoke English. Nope, I do not recommend this restaurant for anything. The food was off . They said it's traditional. Gross my wife dish was... schezuan shrimp smelled and tasted like pee. The sweet and sour pork was not good either it was brown. We left stillhungry.???????????? Update I added a photo of brown sweet sour sauce. Maybe you need a chat with your chef. The food was awesome except there wasn't much shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. And it took them too days to add the tip on to... the credit card. Read more
OH MY GOD! I have lived in the Springs for a year and 7 months and I could never find a good Chinese place until now! Honestly,... I ordered from here because the owner is a savage with all of the replies making me laugh so hard. I was having a bad day untilI read those but anyways, back to the food! So I was honestly really skeptical of ordering anything because the past Chineseplaces I went to were so bad. No flavor, tasted like hospital food, literally. It was so disgusting! Then I order here and theorange chicken looked good! So I was like hmm.. ok. Then I had a bite and OH MY GOD it was sooo good! Super flavorful and sweetjust how I like it! Then I had the crab ragoons and they were SOO GOOD TOO! I feel like this is not real since it took meforever to find a good place lol. I feel like the crab ragoon should have more filling but I can?t change the menu! I did havethe fried rice and not as flavorful as I like it but thats ok! The crab Ragoons and the orange chicken made up for it. If you?renervous about going to a Chinese restaurant I hope you read my review and go here! So delicious! Who makes vegetable fry rice with broccoli? I've never had such a bad Chinese food, I give up on eating out. So disappointed... that's not Chinese. Finally! Flavorful and comforting Chow Mein! Moved recently to the Springs from the West Coast and have tried multiple... resturants trying to find Chow Mein over those yummy crunchy noodles. It was so delicious. I plan to make this a newtradition! I only gave it four stars because I felt a little rushed by waitress. I ordered hot and sour soup but got eggflower which I usually detest but couldn't catch the waitress. To my surprise I found it very yummy and satisfying as well. Imight also request light salt next time but the flavor was spot on otherwise. I think my search is over! Read more
