In a word: Disappointing. Most important up front: Food. It was ok. It's often joked that British food doesn't have any... seasoning, that's almost true here. Across the 4 meals our table had we agreed that the food was adequate but not exciting orauthentic. Also portions were quite small for $18 a piece. The dessert (sticky toffee pudding) was a disgrace. Small, dry, andbland. It looks like the pudding itself is premade and they just add some ice cream and minimal caramel sauce on top. Goodalcohol spread but fairly pricey for an on tap draught. The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant was good. It washeartening to see the red phone box and the many premier league scarves decorating the building. Staff were, overworked? It mayhave been the day and time we visited (Wednesday night) but there were 2 folks doubling up as wait staff and reception. This ledto long wait times for stages of the meal. In addition it seems the chef was also tasked into bringing food out to sometables. The booth we were sat in was dirty. The table was crusty and sticky, the bench seat had crumbs and dirt. Staff didn'teven have enough menus for us as we sat down and advised they were "printing more." This location prides itself on being aplace to watch British Football. That I will agree on. Many screens give it more of a sports bar feel. There's a nice wraparound bar and plenty of seating. If you were mostly worried about catching a game with some friends over thematic beers this isa good enough place to do so. Next time, I will save my money and put it towards an England trip where I can get some properPub Grub. Read more

First time visit. Found out about this place after dropping a friend off at the hotel across the street. So glad we finally... dropped in! Anyplace that has Paulaner Octoberfest on draft deserves an extra star that I'm unable to give. It's hard to drinkany of the other delicious European beer they have lol. We started with Poutine. Homemade fries, and gravy. Needed a few morecheese curds though. I usually judge British restaurants by the fish n chips, but I really wanted a burger. My burger wasabsolutely delicious. I probably could've eaten two of them. The Steak and Ale Pie was to die for. The beef was so tender, andthe gravy was rich. We also loved the Trifle we had for dessert. Overall I'm very happy we found this place. Great vibe.Football is on the multiple TV's, which the crowd gets into. Definitely going to try the fish n chips next time. Read more

What an awesome pub! A large amount of wonderful food options and a huge assortment of imported beers and spirits. The food was... excellent, flaky breading on the fish with succulent and buttery insides, fresh cut potatoes fried in the back for somedelicious chips. My friend got a Cottage Pie which I stole a taste of and it was wonderful! The owners are kind and we had agreat experience overall. Read more

Delicious! Our friends who are locals took us here. We had a party of 9 on a Friday night. Everyone was super friendly,... service was very good and the live music was great! It was clean and everyone eating was having a nice time. I had a wedgesalad and DELICIOUS masala fries. Everything looked delicious from the poutine to fish and chips ( giant piece of fish!) tosalads, sausages and shepherd pies. Beers on tap were cold and everyone enjoyed their food. The prices were reasonable andworth every penny! We will definitely go back here! Read more
