They said it would be a 10 minute wait for seating for 15 minutes. During that time we listened to the hostess tell another... party about the previous manager quitting without notice, corporate sending someone who wasn't a manager to fill in (who theysaid made a mess of things), then then telling about the new manager who was trying to clean up the fallout still, we could seethat was still in progress. They didn't seem to have their act together yet based on how the other tables were being waited onand the unhappy family that came in before us who still hadn't been seated. We weren't willing to wait 20 minutes when we hadalready been there 15 and had been told 10. So in all fairness maybe when we got to a table we might have had a differentexperience, but the wait and the staffs' story, as well as the family telling me the bathroom wasn't very clean all added up tous walking out. Been to village inn plenty of times but it’s the first time at this location. Love the comfort food, the portion size, and the... cost. We ordered from the breakfast menu. All great food. Also free slice of pie Wednesday is great! The environment and thestaff are fantastic here. I strongly recommend village inn. Read more
I've had better breakfast on airplanes.... Not a single thing was good and the portions for potatoes were terrible.... This is... how many potatoes we got.. ??????? No toppings were given for the waffles. Everything was either too hard or too soft. Orderedseveral dishes and won't try it again. Read more
My husband & I both ordered the cup of chicken noodle soup & half sandwich. I had the half turkey avocado melt & he had the... half Rueben sandwich...all was great!! Our server was very personable couldn't have been nicer also. We ordered a cherry pieto go & our server took care of that just a promptly as she served our entire meal with drinks also. We love going therebecause the food is always very good & service is even better!! For a regular family style restaurant, it's a favorite for us!! Read more
So I attempted to substitute a supreme item for the UIB, and was told by the waitress that she couldn't ring it up that way and... I would have to order a fourth item from the original items. Continued to argue with me that it was just best to do it that waybecause the register wouldn't ring it up. I refused to order and after calling over the manager was told it was all taken careof. Great. Shouldn't have been an argument in the first place. What happened to the "Customer is always right."? Read more
Overall, our large party with kids had a great experience. Eugene was a great server and very attentive and had the forethought... to split our checks up early so we wouldn't have any issues at the end. Food isn't anywhere near fantastic or incredible, butyou should already know that when coming to Village Inn. The food was good, just not mind-blowing (and probably never will be).No one in our party disliked anything. If I'm being picky, I might point out that the fries were kind of soggy. Fish and chipswere cooked perfectly, the pancakes and waffles were all fine, and everyone loved their skillets + burrito. The front of houseof the restaurant was clean (minus some crumbs on the seats that we had to wipe off) and the kitchen looked like it was clean ata passing glance. Only reason I'm going to knock a star is because the bathrooms (men's and women's - according to my wife)were both gross. For the men's bathroom, it almost seemed like someone attempted to clean them or started to clean them and thengot grossed out and left. A wipe + the toilet seat covers were a must. Amazing place to visit at any time. I have a date last week with my husband. We get some breakfast, and today I have a brunch... with my sister and husband too. I really like it and I love the taste of the food, are very very nice! So happy and thankful forthe service. Read more
We are first timers and it won’t be the last. What a nice place to eat, friendly and very casual. Our Waiter Mr. Erick made... it even more special with good conversation and good recommendations. The food was excellent, we ordered our pancakes with ascoop of vanilla ice cream on top, delicious. I like the pancakes because they’re not oversized they’re just perfect!???????? Read more
