Coffee was good and plentiful as they leave a carafe on the table. Orange juice does have pulp. Fast service! Biscuits were soft... and gravy was seasoned perfect. Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and eggs were made to order. Kids Pancakes were a treat!Strawberry topping and yummy whipped cream. Side of fruit was strawberries and blueberries. My boyfriend and I went to eat at Wade's Cafe and he got the $11.99 Chicken fried steak and hashbrowns and toast, sunny side up... and I got the breakfast hash, for $9.49 under $10. There was alot of food for the price. You'll definitely have to try it. Read more
Love love love this place, tried other breakfast joints and the portions are always so small, tried Mother Muffs and was... appalled at what they charge for the little food you get... here at Wades, my chicken fried steak was under $12! My girl got thehash and swapped out the toast for mini pancakes, $9.49 wow!! Steal of a price and they have a rewards program and I get 5$ offcoupon in my email all the time making this even sweeter!! This place has been a landmark to the Colorado Springs area as Racines to Denver, except their location has changed unlike that... of Racines and they do NOT have valet parking, lol. There was and is a standing line during busy hours but that tells you alot. They come outside and call names. They could use some benches for people to sit and wait on outdoors. I think Iunderstand why they don't have them due fear of the homeless using them or theft but it would have been nice. Also I think thisplace would rock if opened around the clock like a "Knife, Spoon, & Fork" local diner would but it's their show. Everything wasexcellent. The 20 minute wait took 22 minutes. There are no available reservations to be made. The wait staff and hostess werekind, fast paced, respectful, clean and knowledgeable. The indoor bathroom was clean but limited with 2 toilets, 1 sink. Thefood was great! Homemade maple syrup as homemade as you would expect without having maple in the back yard, lol. I was filledand took a to-go box. The prices were also great. 35.00 for the 3 of us, mind you, (without posting my tip of 15.00), and weate breakfast plates. Still well ran and loved by the community! Read more
Not sure what happened to this place but breakfast today was the worst experience. The eggs in the photo is what an omelete... looks like from here. When i got home after picking up the online order, i realized we did not get the side of sausage and gotpecan pancakes instead of regular pancakes. I called Wade's cafe and the man working said that if i could come back he wouldfix the order. I went back and got regular pancakes and the sausage patty. First time visit. Good sized menu, with plenty of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. Absolutely awesome service. My wife... had biscuits and gravy. Good biscuits, and the gravy was decent. The sausage patty tasted like McDonald's. Their chicken friedsteak is frozen. I got the breakfast burger. I see why it won an award! I'm gonna be hooked. If they can learn how to dip afresh cubed steak into seasoned flour, then put it in the same deep fryer as their frozen ones, then they'll get 5 stars. 5 stars based on service alone! Malissa was the best waitress we?ve had in a very long time. Her personality is infectious. The... food here was amazing. Decently priced for the amount of food you get. We order a patty melt, burrito burger and the breakfasthash. Come here and ask for Malissa!!! Read more
