I came here a couple months ago. I really enjoyed my experience here. For this place being in California, the food was close to... Nicaraguan food that you can get in Miami. My only comment was that at the time I ordered Cacao, it almost tasted like pinolilloinstead. Luckily I enjoy pinolillo as well. Other than that, the service was great! Would recommend and come back! This was our first visit but not our last, we tried the Nica sampler plate it gave us a little taste of everything. The meats... were flavorful and tender (the pork was my favorite) the plantains were delicious and the flautas or tacos had a great flavor!Thank you for a great first time lunch! I wish we had taken pictures! Read more

We were walking by and saw the sign and decided to come in for an appetizer. We got the flautas and tamal de puerco to eat and a... mango-lime drink. I've never had Nicaraguan food before so I have nothing to compare it to in terms of it being authentic BUT itwas delicious! We will definitely be back again. Food came pretty fast and prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back totry more food. The tamal was huge so that was nice had left overs for sure. Also the waitress mentioned they sell beer fromlocal breweries that are owned by Latinx people so that was a nice touch, the selection was small but definitely curated becauseit all sounded yummy! Was really good & tasty! I miss my abuela?s cooking but she?s back in Nicaragua, so it was really nice to enjoy some traditional... Nicaraguan food. Steak was marinated well. Will be returning :) Read more

I ordered a vigoron and they didn?t have the right ingredients! The chicharron were pieces of fat and were not crunchy the way... they prepare it in Nicaragua and the salad mix hardly had any tomatoes ! Read more

I love this place and normally they do a great job! I wasn't going to write a bad review but the lady on the phone wouldn't... listen to the issues I had with the dish and insisted I put out a complaint. So here we are, so I ordered LA Churasco conMaduro, Queso Frito, and the Rice, but when I got my order the steak was super dry and super thin, and there was no Maduroeither. Oh and it was missing the Chmi Churri which I love. Also the steak was burnt and I ordered the Churasco Medium by theway. I think the cook is either new or just had a really bad day because I can tell there was no love put into the food at all.I am going to upload a picture for you guys to see this catastrophy.. This is your typical small Nicaraguan restaurant. We ordered the Nicaraguan sampler. Everything was delicious EXCEPT the fried... taco you see on the edge. They seemed to have been made with chicken. The traditional Nicaraguan taco is with shredded beef. The meat tasted like shredded fried chicken which was weird. (Leftover taco ?????) The Chia con Limón was watered down. Hmmmplease don?t do this. This is a quick way to get a bad reputation. The buñuelos were hard. Tasted as if they were made outof flour and not Yucca. I hate to give a 2-star but the overall experience with bad drink and tough buñuelo weredisappointing. I hope the owner reads this feedback. I?ll be happy to come back and give you a second chance if my review isacknowledged. ***Red Flag*** When owners take reviews as an attack instead of acknowledging there?s improvement to be made. Howunfortunate. Read more

This restaurant is small but cute. Not a lot of room inside but It looks like they took a little bit of their private parking... lot to make it into an outside dining. What a brilliant idea. More seating means more people can be accommodated! I really lovethe outside dining it?s cool, comfy and feel the fresh air. The food is amazing! Very tasty you get a taste of sweet and savoryin your plate. Most of the plates come with beans and rice, salad, fried plantains or plantain chips. We ordered Camarones a LaJalapeña, that shrimp had creamy sauce with onions and jalapeños. Wow! It?s so good, I can eat that sauce plain with justwhite rice. Also ordered Churrasco with Queso Frito on the side. The steak was cooked just right (medium rare) not dry all. Thequeso adds flavor to your bite. We also had Pollo Asado, Arroz con Leche, and Bu?uelos. What a meal!!! The staff: Alanna ourserver was awesome. She was so patient with us. Whatever we asked for she brought it with a smile! Thank you Alanna! Last butnot least the owner Jennifer was so down to earth. She came and had a chat with us and most of the guests that were seatedoutside! I?d say this was a great experience, great food, good service, and price is not bad at all! Read more
