I'm officially on a boycott from the tropical smoothie in garden city. Not only do they have major attitude problems(an employee... threw a bag of chips st me obe time while she rolled her eyes), my order is always wrong and missing ingredients, but today iwatched an employee eat a sandwhich over the food prep counter he makes orders on with his gloves on, shoved it in his mouth,reached over the containers of food to grab more food that went into his mouth, didnt change his gloves, threw the reat if thesandwhich in the trash then went back to making food for people. ???? I work in garden city so I come here fairly often and this location has gone seriously downhill the last few months. One time I... ordered 1 smoothie on the app and had to wait 30 minutes for it. Another time I ordered the salsa verde quesadilla and it wascold and the cheese wasn?t melted. They also forgot the chicken. Today I ordered a salad on the app then waited 10 minutes afterI arrived to finally ask where it was. I think they forgot about it so I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to make it. I gave it a one-star due to service. The counters were sticky and dirty I witnessed an employee scratch his hair and rub it with... no gloves on and then continue to make somebody's smoothie. There were no napkins in the dispenser so when I asked for some theemployee looked lost and then grabbed some from the regular paper towel dispenser with his own dirty hands! Don't eat here. The food was not to good. When I got my order it was totally wrong. It seems like the cashier was new/ learning.... Got charged incorrectly. Still I eat what they gave me. For me it's a weird combination of flavors I tasted some kind ofdressing in the Baja wrap ?$8.99 really? Did not finish it had to throw it away. Sorry not coming back. Read more
I paid $8 for garbage and Tropical smoothie has done nothing yet to correct this. I went in and it looked like a bunch of 17... year olds were working, there seemed to be no Managament and everything was disorganized. I waiting in line for about 10 minsand after I ordered they served everyone before me. That was after waiting 15mins for my drink. I had to ask someone when willmy drink be ready next, he made it immediately after that and then he gave me a smoothie that looked like this! I will nevercome back to this location again. I wish the Thayer street location was open again because I would?ve went there instead.Super disappointing but now I know what to expect from this location. Read more
I ordered online for pickup. When I got there my food was ready and sitting in the pickup area. I also ordered two smoothies.... The counter was full of blenders so I figured they were working on it. One person was sweeping while the other two made thesmoothies. After about ten minutes I was acknowledged and said I was waiting on two smoothies. The person went to the counterand moved all the dirty blenders out of the way and found my slip on one. The person lightly rinsed a second blender out andwent back to sweeping. The phone rang and all three went to stand around the phone while one person talked on it(mind you onestaff member had both of my unblended smoothies in hand). After the phone call the smoothies went over to the blender but stilldidn?t get blended while the staff members talked about the phone call. I normally don?t leave reviews. But went in last night for a smoothie, a little after 830. Place was closed. Employees standing... around talking doing nothing. Called the store to ask if they were closed. Response was yes. Well it?s not 9 o?clock. Was toldthey close early to clean. Well your business hours are until 9. I understand cleaning and breaking down. But leave at least oneblender open or change your business hours to 830. The girl that answered the phone was very rude and hung up the phone. Read more
