Just a great long-standing mom and pop BBQ restaurant. The food was exactly what we needed to finish our trip home. The owner... was friendly, the servers were so sweet, and the food was delicious. The price was good for the portions. And one more amazingthing- the bathrooms were clean, which means a lot on a road trip. Highly recommend this place! Read more
The food was really good. The portions are big, you will probably have left overs for lunch the next day. I got the chicken and... ribs, I was stuffed and had leftovers for the next day. The pulled pork was an excellent choice on another visit and the beansare very good as well. The prices are fair and the service is fast if your looking for a quick bite. The is also gifts andsouvenirs in the gift shop in the front of the restaurant...Truckers!! Park at the pilot and walk next door. You will not besorry. Read more
Amazing. Right beside Pilot so truckers can walk to it. The staff and owner was super friendly and the food was amazing. I got... the sampler plate so I could eat on it for a few days and it did not disappoint. I think I have enough food for 3 or 4 meals. Ialso got the blackberry cobbler, but could not eat it. So my fridge is full and ready to go. Chicken and ribs are super tenderand fell off the bone!!! Will most definitely be back!!!! The homemade chips were the best I have ever had!!!! Really not impressed. I've been to a lot of BBQ restaurants & competitions, and all of them puts these guys to shame. Heck, they... all have more meat in their pulled pork sandwiches than these guys. Not to mention the onion rings don't even taste as good asthe ones you can get at the fair or even in a packaged bag from the grocery store. Absolutely would not recommend this place forgood BBQ. Enjoyable BBQ experience. I had turkey melt with Lefty's stew. The stew had potatoes, pork, peppers, green beans and... corn....mmm tasty. Quickly seated and quick table service. Just off I-40 and I would recommend it! Read more
Lefty's was simple, clean and as advertised. Good barbecue. Breanna was our server and she was charming and pleasant. I ordered... the pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and iced tea. My friend ordered the ribs and chicken combo with slaw and pinto beans andfried corn cakes. The meats were well cooked. The corn cakes were hot and dripping with butter. Yum!!! I really liked the BBQsauce. The corn, cole slaw and fries were standard. The service was terrific! The owner stopped by our table to check oneverything. Our 2 entrees, 4 sides, corn cakes and 2 iced teas came to $40 plus tip. I saw several baked potatoes loaded withpork and cheese and I will order that next time with the blackberry cobbler! Read more
While making a cross country drive, stumbled across this little gem. Real small town feel venue, close to the town folk. ... Ordered up two pulled port sandwiches and some fries - delicious. Not too sweet, perfect seasoning / perfectly smoked. Zerocriticisms. Bill Sanders stopped by the table to check in - not certain if he is the owner / manager - but a nice touch. Delightful, friendly, unpretentious local BBQ joint. Super clean! Well lit and most important - delicious food. I enjoyed the... house made chips and a pork potato. Took some blackberry cobbler for the rest of the road trip back to Nashville. Highlyrecommend and will visit again! Read more
