We concluded our week in the Dallas area with dinner at Fearing’s in The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas. Dean Fearing is known as the... “Father of Southwestern Cuisine” and his dishes feature gulf seafood and wild game. We started with cocktails and I finallyfound a restaurant in the Dallas area with 1908 Empress gin so I had to have an Empress gin & tonic. This is one of my favoritegins, for its clean taste and unique coloration. I ordered a bottle of 2018 Chateau Gloria, a wine from St. Julien (Bordeaux).Perhaps needing a few more years of maturation, it was silky, with a lot of fruit after opening up in the glass. We were servedan amuse bouche on a spoon; I didn’t hear what it was … a small piece of toast with something piped on … whatever it was,it was delicious. My co-worker and I split the Southwest Sampler comprised of jumbo lump crab cakes, BBQ short rib enchiladaand crispy lobster tacos. Each bite of heaven was accompanied by a sauce or topping (Chipotle Crema, Chorizo Queso and Avocadorelish). Wow, if this is the appetizer, what will an entrée taste like? Two had the “must have” Dean’s Tortilla soup, itlooked scrumptious! I’m not certain what the other dish was; it was a salad that could have served as a main dish and lookedso appealing. I had the Achiote Glazed Broken Arrow Ranch Nilgai Antelope, featuring a Mole Rojo and a braised rabbitenchilada. If there is game on the menu; I’m in and this featured two … the antelope was so tender and flavorful and therabbit was … I wanted more! Others ordered the Peppercorn Soaked Buffalo Tenderloin, Pan Seared Eastern Shore Sea Scallops,BBQ Spiced Beef Filet and Chicken Fried Maine Lobster, Pan Seared Dry Aged Rohan Duck Breast and the Nova Scotia Halibut. Everydish was a work of art, visually and taste-wise. A palate cleansing scoop of sorbet followed and some ordered dessert, including an interesting take on bread pudding ... banana pudding with mini Beignets. I opted to finish my meal with a cup ofIlly c Read more

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I went for our third anniversary to treat ourselves, and it’s not the kind of place we... usually go to. We’re usually more casual diners, and I’m sure the staff could tell. But they were extremely kind to us, andnobody was rude and we got congratulated by at least three or four different staff members for our anniversary. Not even tomention the food, which was absolutely amazing. I’ve never done fine dining before but this was an amazing entrance to it. Mybf and I will most likely make this an anniversary tradition. They also gave us a little cake for our anniversary on the housewhich was so sweet and thoughtful. Read more

We had breakfast at Fearings, it was everything I expected, and more! Food was amazing! Our waitress and staff were on point.... They made the breakfast special for me and my family. Management introduced themselves, and were very friendly, but didn’t trytoo hard. I live in Utah, and this breakfast was better than anything we have in Utah. Great job, highly recommended! Greatatmosphere, clean, and very professional. Read more

Food is amazing! Came here for early Christmas dinner date with my husband last night and it was great. Their filet steak was to... die for. I would say better than Nick & Sam. All the dishes we tried were very good and service was very good. For the appetizerwe got fried oysters and lobster taco— oyster was still good but I think i prefer raw more, taco was really nice but wishthere was more lobster in it. But the sauce of taco was very nice. Buffalo steak was tender soft with strong flavor, honestlytasted like a soft jerky haha still good but other steak(with the maine lobster) was just way too good. For the dessert we gotbanana pudding— what a wonderful way to have banana pudding hahaha loved it so much! Oh and their complimentary breads are sogood too. I loved it! Overall, amazing experience and will definitely come back. Read more
