Stopped here to have lunch with a friend as we were in the area. Their menu has a wide variety of options ranging from burgers... and sandwiches, tacos, salads, plates if you're doing dinner. I got The Shwack burger, adding avocado (an extra dollar) and aside of their spuds (think potato wedges). Solid burger that has pickled onions which made it all the better for a great lunch.Outdoor seating and pretty quiet, with ample parking around 2:30 on a Friday afternoon! Read more
We have eaten here each time we come to Dana Point. This lunch my wife tried their French onion soup and I had the chicken pesto... salad on a bed of fresh baby spinach. Both choices were stupendous! Good food, great prices, terrible seating. You really can beat this beach shack for lunch or just something casual but during... summer, it can be a mess trying to get seated. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you but most people camp outso may be eating your food on the curb out front. The food was great and they menu has a wide variety of lunch and breakfastoptions. They also have a few local and regional beers on tap. It?s a go for something casual with a laid back vibe. Excellent steak tacos! Super chill spot I stopped for beer and quick bite in Dana Point.
Last month my wife and I drove 5 hours from AZ just to have their tacos (Fish & Steak) and Queso Shrimp Dip. We arrived just as... they were turning over their kitchen from breakfast to lunch. We had to wait a bit to order lunch, but it was worth it! The barwas open and kept us ?entertained? while we hung out on the Patio. This definitely passed the ?Would my wife eat here?? test. We stopped in here while visiting and I?m so glad we did! The ceviche is different and totally delicious with cucumbers, hot... chips with salt and pepper on them. LOVED it. We had a burger and steak tacos. I ordered steak tacos at the Ritz and here andgotta tell you Shwacks wins hands down. The sauce is super great and they cooked the meat perfectly. They?re outdoor seating hasa wind block so it was comfortable even though the day was chilly. 10/10 recommend! Read more
