I took the family out for dinner and this place was an absolute hit. The kid pizzas are huge, the IPA is amazing, and make sure you get the meatball as a starter.
Wow! The white burrata pizza was extremely authentic, with a thick tasty crust. Probably one of the best I have had, and I have been alot to Italy! The tiramisu was very good too?
Ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc 2018 Galerie 'Naissance' from Napa Valley. Then we got a appetizer of burrata + tomato conserva + sourdough baguette. I got short rib pappardelle + cremini mushroom + carrot + parmesan for my pasta main dish. My girlfriend got corn agnolotti + crème fraiche + sumac + chili + cilantro + ricotta salata for her pasta main dish. Great service. Tables are packed and a lot going on but still good for date night. Food was amazing and overall a great dining experience
I really wanted to get some pasta & this spot had a reservation open. I saw some other reviews and was a bit nervous just because some of the reviews were harsh. I sat outside upstairs in a beautiful covered area. I ordered some hot water, the bucatini pasta (I added an egg because why not), and then the burrata pizza. I must say, everything was amazing. The bucatini pasta was so flavorful and the egg was a great touch. I do see how some people could say it's a bit salty but that doesn't bother me. The pizza was really good, I even dipped it in the pasta sauce lol. I ordered some truffle fries just because I wanted some a small snack & they were good. They don't have ranch but they do have some aiolis that were great. I'd definitely come back here for that bucatini. I can honestly say it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time.
SOooo delicious Italian cousin ?? Whenever you're in San Diego, a must stop! Very good service too. Very good celiac friendly GF options.
I have mixed feelings about this place. We were seated outside, not in the shade and the place was empty. The waitress was very attending, but it felt a little pushy to get us in and out. The kids pasta was amazing and our dish was okay. The side of brussel sprouts we ordered were burnt to where I couldn't even eat half the dish (I was starving). Since this is California drink costs were $5 a drink and there were split plate costs. Overall, the place is beautiful and I'm hoping we just got a bad meal based upon other reviews.
The presentation of the Seafood Linguine was outstanding, but it was the taste of the Giant Meatball appetizer and the Short Rib Pappardelle that make this place worth coming back to. Reservations are definitely recommended on Friday and Saturday nights, but if you don?t mind sitting at the bar or outside they aren?t necessary. The entrance walls are lined with a great selection of wines, so be sure to browse them on the way out. And that?s?Henry?s Take. @henrystake
The wait service here was weird, nobody waited on us, we had to get another server and then he became our server when he was serving on the other side. Either way, our server ended to being good but we had to wait so long to order and it was already late, we were hungry. Not very happy. We ordered the family size short rib pappardelle which says serves 3 to 4 people for $62. It was tasty and great but definitely doesn't feed 3 to 4. It should say 2 to 3 at most. It's good but not with it. Not a great experience.
