This cozy spot in downtown Downtown can't be beat for breakfast! My dad finally took me here to get my first mess (now that I'm... 38 years AND living two states away in West Virginia). He got the Italian sausage (strong fennel flavor! Really tasty) with allthe veggies. I got the sausage (the rosemary flavor, WOW) with all the veggies + provolone. All the staff are so friendly andknow their regulars by name. Our server Jess was a gem!! I can't wait to visit again. Read more

It?s rare that a breakfast joint actually has a good cup of coffee, but thankfully this place lived up to its name. After flying... in at 5:30 in the morning from Fort Lauderdale, I was in desperate need of decent coffee and lots of it. I had a Small Mess(eggs, potatoes, Turkey sausage, onions and peppers) and it was more than enough food, hot, fresh and really tasty! One friendhad a Large Mess and something called a Scrapple (still not entirely certain what exactly it is). While it wasn?t bad, it?s justnot for me. My other friend had Cream Chipped Beef with potatoes and omg that was very yummy too!! It?s similar to SausageGravy and biscuits, but better in my opinion! Our waitress was fantastic! She was helpful without being overbearing and keptthe piping hot coffee coming! The restaurant has a very welcoming, classic diner ambiance. It?s much larger than it appearsfrom the front of the building and everything was quite clean. Definitely recommend and will be back next time I?m in town! Read more

Everything was great. Eggs, bacon and hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. Generous amount of food as well.

Excellent diner. Don't listen to the whiners about portion sizes or prices. Portions are fine and in case some geniuses haven't... noticed, prices have been going up on everything for quite some time so why should diners be any different? I ordered the smallmess with sausage and it was the perfect amount. If it's not enough cough up the extra 2 bucks for the large instead of whiningabout it. Coffee Cup is just what it portrays itself to be, a diner. Good diner food, pleasant staff, been there twice now andit won't be the last. Read more

Overall, a disappointing experience. I don't know how this place has the ranking that it does, except maybe it gets points for... nostalgia, as it's been around forever. Portions are small, prices are high for items without meat. For example, two slices ofFrench toast without meat is $6; with meat it is $7. Others have touted their Mess - which is hash browns with egg, peppers andonion with a choice of meat. Meat was one link of breakfast sausage. Small is $7.75. Should have gotten the large. Total at theregister seemed to include a surcharge for a credit card; as I did not get a detailed receipt, I am not sure. Read more

A really nice breakfast place. The scrambled egg "messes" and omelet were thoroughly enjoyed by my friends. However, my pancakes... were super bland which is why I have to subtract a star from an otherwise perfect breakfast. Coffee was great, bacon wasperfect, and the service, atmosphere, and prices were all amazing. Just don't get the pancakes. Read more
