This place is a gem. A small menu of breakfast items and a few lunch items. And what they serve is the best of what it is. I... ordered the taco omelette and a pancake. The eggs were the fluffiest eggs I'd ever had and the pancake was huge. Hashbrowns wereexcellent. Incredibly friendly staff. Two people can sit and have coffee and breakfast for $20. You have to check it out. Inresponse to all the children's art and community involvement around the restaurant, the owner told me, "This is not myrestaurant; this is my customer's restaurant." Awesome service! Excellent food. My husband and I had the #2. Two eggs toast and sausage links and we tried a cinnamon roll.... Honestly couldn?t have asked for a better breakfast. This place has simple, basic, economical fare. The workers are nice. I can't get over the design of the place, it feels strange... and weird to be in here. But that might just be my POC self in a dominating landscape. Read more
A cute little spot with good breakfast food. It just took forever to get our food over an hour after our order was taken. Our... service was great we had a very nice server, there was another older grey haired lady there serving that was quite rude to herguests, short and impatient, glad we didn't have her. It is a very small place to eat though. All the tables are right next toeach other and it feels cramped. So I would recommend this place if you don't mind waiting for your breakfast, refill, orcheck. The owner is one of the friendliest, nicest restaurant owners around. She's efficient, helpful and courteous. The food there is... amazing. I love the hash browns. The pancakes are done perfectly. I've tried many things on the menu and been happy with all ofthem. I would recommend the Sunshine Café in Duluth to anyone who's hungry. I am SO happy the Sunshine Cafe weathered the stormof covid and is still open for business. I love this restaurant and I love the owner, she's such an awesome person.
