Food was good. Service wasn't. Any restaurants especially fine dinning, should not advertise at the restaurant that they are... hiring. You pretty much know before you go in the service will be sub par. It's 2022... Do we need giant signs out frontannouncing they are short staffed? Read more
I will start by saying it is pricey but SO WORTH IT! The staff is incredible from the hostess who helped bring meals and answer... questions to the server who was attentive and we definetly had some good laughs with. The chef sent out a free amuse bouche thatwas a puff pastry filled with a goat cheese and onion mixture. But let me tell you the oysters! I have eaten oysters on the halfshell pretty much my whole life and they were phenomenal the mignonette was everything I didn't know I was missing. Food wasseasoned to perfection. This place was lovely, but expensive. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, though I did feel a little pressure to... order an app, an entree, and a dessert. Some of the decor choices were... Interesting, but the overall atmosphere was nice. Wementioned it was a special occasion and the chef gave us a little amuse bouche free of charge. They do, however, charge $7 forbread and butter (though I gladly paid it--it was utterly delicious). Food was fantastic for all courses (ordered the gnocchipictured below). Overall, would recommend! Delicious cocktails in a charming atmosphere. Amazing entrees. Friendly efficient service. Fresh flowers on the tables. We had a... delightful evening. The food was amazing. I had the surf and turf special and the crab cake was one of the best I have had. My wife had the skate... and thoroughly enjoyed it. Another in my party had the pork chop and raved! Additionally, we ordered the calamari which wasprepared differently than I had ever had it and I would highly recommend it. The one drawback to evening was our server. Iinformed her about a nut allergy and she never took it seriously, waving off questions about whether something contained nutssaying a dessert didn't contain nuts even when it was specifically mentioned on the menu. Overall we enjoyed our meal. There were times when we felt a little rushed. 2nd visit: arrived at 8:40PM with hopes of getting... a quick drink to celebrate an anniversary, however we were not served due to the bar already being closed. Read more
