I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because 1. The waitress was really nice, and 2. The Brunswick Stew was good. Everything else... missed the mark. My sister and I both got ribs. They were dry and flavorless. Hers came out cold. We had to ask to have themheated up. You can tell the food had been sitting out for a long time. My fried okra was dry. Her sweet tea was not sweet, andshe set the corn down after just a couple of bites. It was not worth finishing. We had to soak our ribs in barbecue sauce togive them enough flavor/moisture to eat. I love southern barbecue, so this was a pretty disappointing experience. Read more
We got seated immediately and then waited about 10 - 15 minutes for 2 shrimp dinners and they were both phenomenal. Service was... quick and professional. Was happy to finally find a place that had air conditioning as well. Atmosphere was embracing the beachvibe. We had tried multiple pther places previous to the Beach Pit but they all had a wait. The food was not great but edible. For breakfast don't order the hash row so, they are awful. I did not enjoy anything from the... dinner menu other than the okra. Being at the beach I expected fresh seafood but it had to be frozen. Won't go back. Read more

Breakfast was ok. I got the sausage and gravy biscuit very bland and the sausage was the least tasting sausage with a side hash... browns. Asked for the hash browns to be crispy and they were the furthest from crispy, I worry they would have been raw shreddedpotatoes if order regular. I eat at the Beach Pit every time I visit St. George Island. It is by far my favorite overall restaurant there. They have... amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Their food and service is always on point. I have never been disappointed aboutanything when I've come here. Plus, the portion sizes are great for what you pay. Read more
