Looking for Colombian food in Newark and this restaurant had good reviews. I?ve never eaten Colombian food but figured they had... steak so we would give it a try. The restaurant was so cute inside and outside. It was busy but we were seated immediatelywhen we got there so didn?t have to wait. I didn?t know what to order so just pointed out a picture I saw on one of the reviewsand they said it was the ?Bandeja Paisa?. It was delicious and I feel In Love with Columbia?s food! It was my favorite meal!My family ordered steak and shrimp and loved it too! We also tried some appetizers and got a Pina Colada and my husband hatesthat drink but it made him try this one and he really liked it! I saw some bad reviews here but when I read them they didn?tseem like it was because of the food so I took a chance and LOVED it! Definitely try it. Decoration typical Colombian nice colors and paintings of their country which gives a nice ambience. We waited more or less 30... to 40 min but it was worthwhile. In order the churrasco Colombiano and Costilla soup with Salad add on avocado and sweet friedplantains. Our server was friendly attentive but did not offer to explained the menu or offer any suggestions or specialties. Myonly Minos but it?s personal the music but it was not annoyingly loud it was a decent volume. I will definitely go there again.If you are in the area give them a try. Read more
First time here and I loved the decor. It was crowded and we had to wait in line to get seated. Once seated Omggg I loved my... drink and Food. Our server was ever so sweet. She was on point, courteous, brought everything as we ate along and explained tous the menu when asked a question. We were celebrating my friends bday. Atmosphere is bomb! Food is bomb! Drinks are bomb. Portions are oversized and honestly under priced. Gratuity is already... calculated on check (~19%) but you can add to it when you sign. They also do charge you to use a debit/credit card so bringcash! Definitely will be back! Read more
Having lunch in this place was a nice experience, I was looking for Carne a la llanera and this place offered me this option.... The flavor of this, was awesome, I really liked it and the amount of meat was good. I also could drink refajo which was alsoamazing. The term of cook of the meat should be improved but in general the term was good. I liked the place, there is enoughroom, the bar is awesome, the decoration is good, it brought me memories. The bathroom were clean, the staff was very kind, I'djust suggest to increase the number of staff since, I noticed that they were overwhelmed at some point, even the bus boy weremore helpful than the waiter. Love this Colombian restaurant so much, so many steak options and makes me feel like I?m in Colombia! Love the Henny Colada and... they have great lunch specials! Also on rainy days the have the best caldo de costillas around and available everyday all day. Read more
First timer . We actually passed by this shop and wanted to eat something quick .. got some pastries and short eats. I loved the... ambience of this place . So much space to sit and eat. Outdoor was also good . Pastries were ok . Not that sweet. It wasdifferent though. Parking is major issue .
