I have no idea in what world their pizza would be accepted as a pizza. Anyone that understands pizza making would say that it... should be sauce first, then cheese and finally toppings. Unfortunately, they top the pizza with cheese, and a lot of it. And thebottom is pretty soggy and uncooked. What you end up with at Filippi's in Escondido is a soggy and greasy pizza that isabsolutely awful. The red sauce is sour and has a weird aftertaste. The leavening in the dough makes the taste very sour whichmust be irregular or warm temperatures and long fermentation time. People that rate this place 5 stars.. I wonder if they everhad "good" pizza.. But this ain't it folks. Read more

Great for those who like to eat with their hands. I grew up in a proper home so I have a preference to using silverware. Food... was okay a tad bit on the greasy side. The inside of the restaurant was your traditional Italian restaurant feel. Resembling alot of the New York Italian restaurants. My overall rating is a 3 from a proper gentleman like myself. Good day Sir Read more

Their pizza is worth every dollar! The fit for a king pizza is amazing every time. Unlike those other places, one thing is for... sure they do not skimp on toppings here. 5 stars every time. Read more

Good food, extremely large portions and a bit of a long wait during cruisin grand but overall worth the wait.

The food is always good. The portions are large enough that you usually wind up taking some home to enjoy later. They even have... a gluten-free pizza. Staff is very friendly and always do a fantastic job. Love this place.. Read more

Accessibility: there is a ramp to enter the building through the back door and there are accessible/handicap parking spots back... there in the free parking lot behind the building. The only bad thing is that there is curb blocking the path from theaccessible parking to go toward Felipe's so if you are in a wheelchair you would have to go all the way around the curb then gothrough the alleyway to enter the back door, or go around the whole building to the front of Felipe's. Both the front and backdoors are pull doors to enter. They do have restrooms in the back of the restaurant. Experience: I placed an order over thephone and I waited in the back lot for them to call but they didn't for like 30 minutes so I went in and asked if it was readyand it was. If you come here, definitely be prepared for a wait because they are very busy. The staff did seem stressed becauseof how busy it was on a Saturday. The pizza was pretty good and had a unique taste compared to other pizzas, but the pasta was alittle bland for me personally. It was all hot and freshly made though with good size proportions. Inside was VERY crowded. Lotsof families eating dine-in and lots of people waiting in the front for take-out orders. Price: one medium pizza and one pastawas 38 dollars. Read more
