Worst customer service ever. I never experienced such a confused and unorganized staff. I forgot my electric toothbrush in my... room and have called the hotel the next day in order for them to set it aside. It?s been over a month now that I have beentrying to talk to someone. Each time I call, I get transferred to another person. When it reaches someone else?s extension, nosurprise no one answers and I have to leave a message. The few times I was able to reach someone they said they would follow upby email or phone. I have given my information numerous times and explained this to many employees. After a month, I still haveno news, no call, no email, nothing. Even if they don?t have my toothbrush, the least the staff could do is respond to me andact professionally. This place is supposed to be ?high end? yet they can?t get back to you on a simple matter and waste yourtime by me having to follow up in vain. Unacceptable. Read more
Cannot believe people are rating this a 5 or even 4,3 star. Service is literally the worst. No is no attention to detail. The... resort does not feel luxurious. Not one part of our stay was worth $1600 for two nights. Absolutely DO NOT come here if you haveany kind of standards. Read more
To anyone who reads this, I would recommend this resort during the winter. This is due to the fact that the maintenance is very... bad during the summer, no employees clean during the day, the entire place is family oriented so there?s no « quiet » .Additionally if you ever get served by Natasha, good luck. She charged additional fees at the end of your stay and on the phonethey can do nothing but make a « file » do they can review it. The baths are jets do not work and the cold one is pisswarm. Was a bit thrown off when we entered the hallways and the carpet was ripped up. It had an (obvious) under construction feel and... for the price we thought oh no... BUT upon entering the room we were quite happy. Very nice elegant set up. BiG bathtub for 2,nice fireplace with TV's on either side. Even when we had a minor issue the hotel receptionist went out of her way to call theroom afterward and have us come down and make sure everything was fixed and we were happy. Very nice to see the concern from thefront desk. And ill note i have seen some hotel carpets i wish theyd rip up so i can appreciate that that is being done. We willbe back and i look forward to seeing the place then. Beautiful property, nice pool, close activities to do..and the food.... Wasamazing. I only wish they hadnt been so busy!! In short, sadly, Esterel Resort does not live up to the hype. If you have ANY expectations, then sadly this is not the place for... you. I frankly would not call this a resort at all, but rather a glorified hotel by the water. There would have to be a LOT moreservice, attention to detail, less waiting in line to be seated for a meal, bigger restaurant that can sit the actual guestsstaying over etc for this to be called a resort. There were not enough lounge chairs outside for everyone. I saw manydisgruntled guests leave the "beach" due to lack of chairs. The "hot tubs" were not hot and the pool filters were not workingproperly and were quite filthy in my opinion. Evening reception upon arrival was cold and 1 star. Hallways and hotel flow werepoorly designed IMO. You constantly need to dance around people and dodge others to get around. This hotel has the image ofbeing 5 star, but it sadly isn't. At max capacity, like this past weekend, guests are getting sub par service, and are notgetting the experience they are paying 500$ a night for. We are glad we had a 5th floor water view in evolution section(quieter). We could still hear the roar and music of the weddings into the night. IMO, this place missed a great opportunity tooffer more exclusive service to guests. By allowing weddings, this helps their bottom line, but makes other guests feel 2ndclass. If you have a hard time to book a table at the resort you are staying at, then there is a problem. Here is the take outmenu is 1 star. The only person who GENUINELY made us feel welcomed was the nice lady making Omelettes every morning at thebuffet. To recap, I don't think this place should identify as a resort unless it goes through a complete restructuring ofservice. Our expectations based on reviews and photos online were very high for this resort. We were very disappointed when we got there.... We had to change rooms because the initial room we got had a broken window. The second room we got had broken blinds, a blockedbathtub and the spa was not working properly. We paid over $750 for one night, and luckily they reimbursed us as we left withintwo hours of arriving. The hotel is on a beautiful property, however I feel like it is not being taken care of, especiallyconsidering the prices they charge. Hopefully this can help someone else! Read more
I enjoyed my stay at Esterel Resort. I went to the Rok restaurant, the steak and sea food were amazing. I really like the... concept that you cook your food on this volcanic stone. We asked for a room change, we didn't like the one we got and withoutany problems they changed our room and we got a better view. We were able to enjoy the spa a lot without any problems and itwas not really many people at night. Now, I think the hotel is a bit on the let down, the room was clean "OK" but the outsideneeds a lot of love. Hope they upgrade it a bit for the price you pay should be a bit better. Outside this, nothing tocomplains I enjoyed my stay there. Read more
Reception staff and concierge were very friendly and accommodating. We were thankfully able to have an early check in and that... allowed us to enjoy the spa a bit more too. Beautiful views and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Chais58, the food wasgreat! A couple of things; there was lot of noise from other guest at night, loads of ladybugs in the room (probably with theseason changes)and the hot tubs and pools didn?t seem very clean with lots of debris flooding around and slightlyovercrowded. Overall I gave a 4 star because we did have a wonderful experience and If check out was later that would of gavemore time to enjoy amenities considering the high cost. I definitely will be back and hopefully can change my rating to a 5star. Read more
