Our server and host were great with a great attitude. View was pretty! Seating area, bathrooms, entrance, all very clean and... welcoming. The food presentation was nice, but prep and delivery was very very slow. The food was okay. The best thing I triedwas the lamb chops and the raw Kumamotos, both very tasty. (What can go wrong with raw oysters?) Clam chowder in a bread bowland the Spinach salad were both tasty. The calamari, the escargot, the fish n chips, the fish, the chicken added to the salad,kids butter pasta, blackberry mojito all just okay. Read more
This place has an amazing atmosphere beautiful view and the food is always on point. If you're down for a show get the table... side Caesar, it's a good taster and an eye pleaser. Read more
My wife and I were staying in Humboldt county for a week for an anniversary trip. We ended up eating here twice during that... trip. The first time we just walked in without a reservation, the host was very nice and explained we may not be able to sitwithout a reservation as they were pretty booked up. Alas, they ended up finding a server with a spot for us. We had a nice seatoverlooking the bay. The second time, we did make a reservation (over the phone - I left a voicemail before business hours -they called back promptly when they opened). We were seated immediately. During both trips, our service was delightful. Thefood was tremendous. My wife is gluten free and dairy free and they made all accommodations very happily. The cocktails weregreat, strong but delicious. The fish and chips is something special. My wife had the duck which she raved over. On our secondvisit we both ordered the special which was a salmon filet over rice and vegetables with a pineapple chutney on top. It was soamazing....I'd highly recommend getting whatever the special is. Those chefs know what they're doing. We will be back next timewe're in Eureka. Read more
The food was adequate. Took forever for someone to take our order. Called to do a to go before i came. Was on hold for 6... minutes. Made it to the restaurant before my order was taken. When we got there it took another 10 minutes to get the order.Asked for our french onion soup while we waited for our food. Have my pregnant wife a literal cup of broth with no bread and orcheese. We had to point that out. Good thing we got it ahead of time. That would have been messed up if we had gone home. Whenthey get busy the service really goes down. Lots of mistakes. Also, I added an updated menu so people can see the correctprices. Side bote: if you order a soup with your meal such as french onion there is a $3 up charge, even though soup or saladcomes with you meal. They do NOT tell you this. You find out when the bill comes. This establishment has the best food I?ve ever had. My husband and I went there for our 17 year anniversary and we were behind... impressed. Between the ambiance and the quality of the food we will never forget this special day! Not to mention the waitresswas absolutely phenomenal. Will definitely be back. Read more
This place is a solid 3.5 in my book. I love the view and they have a good selection of wines. Our last couple of visits the... main courses have had some minor, but important issues: over cooked fish, watery sauce, over done potatoes... nothing tragic forsure. This is one of the best fine dining restaurants in the area. I think it's worth a try if you haven't been before. Read more
