He does all he can to provide an incredible meal that comes 100% from in andaround his store. Service was very good and food was Excellent. My family and I ate here during our vacation and loved every minute of the experience. The hostess was friendly and... accommodating, the bartenders we interacted with while waiting for our table (we arrived very early) were friendly andattentive. I got the mezcal negroni (kind of a white negroni) which was excellent; my brother got the smoked fashion and lovedit. They were able to seat us outdoors well ahead of our dining time - the sun was just setting so it was perfect timing. I gotthe pork dish (which our lovely server told us was the fan favorite of the restaurant), and we also ordered the scallops, steak,and tuna. The word that comes to mind when describing our experience is exquisite. The flavors were all distinct but perfectlybalanced and the presentation was creative and visually beautiful. And while the dinners were not cheap, the portions wereextremely generous. We had a wonderful time and would love to return next time we visit town! Somehow missed this gem for years! Their food is spectacular, no other way to say it. The tartare was one of the best I've ever... had. The drink menu is very fun/different and I think between our family we tried every single one! All were great and unique.It might be a little pricey (compared to local eats) but it is VERY worth it. We celebrated my husband’s birthday here this week. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was DELICIOUS, unique,... and fresh. The staff was kind and welcoming and made our evening special. We told the chef how amazing he did and that we cannotwait to come back! We enjoyed the salads, chicken and biscuits, flank steak, catfish, and all 3 seasonal desserts … Everysingle dish was phenomenal! Read more
Best restaurant ever. We have literally traveled the world and always love to try the number one place in a given city. This... is far and away the most innovative, fresh and imaginative menu anywhere on the east coast. It’s tiny, but the staff, thechef, and the quality are incredible. Chef Kern has a passion for farm fresh dishes that take local offerings and turn theminto a full palate experience. We love the flounder, the pork chop, the chicken and dumplings. I’m a fussy eater and I'mconstantly asking for this on the side or omit that. When I come here, which is as often as possible, I put the entire mealinto this chef’s capable hands and I’ve always been amazed by what I love that either I didn’t think I liked or I neverheard of. We had a great night - warm and knowledgeable staff, great cocktails and then the best food I've had all summer on the Eastern... shore. Nice twists on classics - steak tartare had a bone marrow aioli and pistachio crumb - and great produce treated well.Nice wine list also - great job all round. Read more
