Can't stand Anna or her attitude problem . That kitchen is a nightmare in disarray and a food borne illness waiting to happen .... Unless they've drastically overhauled the design and hired someone who is certified and educated in proper food handling I'davoid this place like The Plague !!!!!!!$ It has nothing to with me not working there Anna . They way you treat others reflectsupon your character and your morals. I certainly am glad to hear you've since hired another professionally trained chef and wishyour business well. But, my review was honest and has nothing to do with my employment status . The kitchen was in direstraights and nothing was up to local or state code. It does seem by other reviews that your new hire is doing fantasticallywell and is a great talent ! I do hope that everything keeps going well for you as it is a much needed addition for the area andevery one seems to really love it!! This place is a diamond in the rough it has that old Town Chicago flair if you need a pick-me-up you should try their Double... espresso over there famous coffee good and tasty and very potent their homemade cookies are fantastic and don't forget to trythe turkey bacon sandwiches PS try the Anna's Small Batch (Kombucha) my favorite is the peach habanero. Stopped in, after birding at the the beach, for a mocha and a blueberry scone. I drink a lot of coffee and this was definitely... one of the best mochas I've ever had. It looks like they have a full breakfast and lunch menu so I guess I'll be back sometime.Highly recommend! Read more
I really like this cafe and coffee shop. They get their bread from a Gary bakery, eggs from the Gary School farming program, and... chicken from Laird Farms in Indiana. Their coffee, hot chocolate, and cappuccino are great, too. I wish they opened earlier butI go when they are open, especially on weekends. Read more
Great staff! Food is delicious, the menu is limited but all the options are winners. I felt so welcomed walking in, and the... atmosphere was amazing! This is a great place to take a date. And if it goes well you can go to 18th street next door. Read more
